CHICAGO (Reuters) - A U.S. soldier convicted by a military court in the gang **** and murder of a 14-year-old Iraqi girl and the killing of her family was sentenced to 110 years in prison on Saturday, the Army said.

Pvt. Jesse Spielman, 22, received a dishonourable discharge after being found guilty of four counts of murder, ****, conspiracy to commit **** and housebreaking with the intent to commit **** by a military court at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky.

Spielman was one of five soldiers charged in the March 2006 attack on the family in Mahmudiya, south of Baghdad. Three soldiers previously pleaded guilty in the case and were given sentences ranging from five to 100 years.

Spielman, the court found, participated in the planning of the attack as the soldiers drank whiskey and played cards, and acted as a lookout.

At the start of the weeklong hearing, Spielman pleaded guilty to wrongful touching of a corpse, arson, obstructing justice and violating rules against drinking alcohol in a war zone.

Sgt. Paul Cortez and Specialist James Barker were sentenced to 90 years and 100 years in prison, respectively.

The accused ringleader, former Pvt. Steven Green, was discharged from the Army for a "personality disorder" and awaits trial in a civilian court. He has pleaded not guilty and faces a possible death sentence.

Cortez and Barker, who both testified at Spielman's court-martial, admitted ****** the girl, Abeer Qassim al-Janabiat, and said Green shot her parents and younger sister. Green then ****d the girl and killed her, and they poured kerosene over her body and set it on fire in an attempt to hide evidence of the crime, they testified.

Another soldier, Pvt. Bryan Howard, admitted to monitoring radio traffic and was given a five-year sentence.

The killings outraged Iraqis and ratcheted up tension in the war zone.

This whole war is a big crime and genocide and all these mental ill people should get life imprisonment, most of all poltician, who attacked this poor country. And what about these american psychopaths - it seems that it is only top of the iceberg. Some criminals, who were cought and one case, which saw daylight. But this crimes are commited there day by day. And who plants bombs? Who leads airstrikes and attacks on civilians houses, who destroyed these mosques? It is likely made by these american psychopaths too. It is very sad picture of USA. If their soldiers are representatives of their nation, it seems that this state is a gang of pervert psychopaths. The relations and opinions of a nation is always built on grounds, what is done by leaders and representatives of it.

mtw, shut the fuck up about the USA. You know absolutely nothing about our country, and stop pretending like you do. We are not a country of perverted psycopaths

It is sickening to think that there are people willing to take advantage of some of the most exposed and defenceless people in the world...and exploiting them in such a manner is beyond repent.
But also to think that these few represent an entire nation is extremely misguided...

ok..so we started with ****..and people are bringing up oil

I could pop in the discussion....

but i probably wont get to anywhere..

the big picture is missed..because people are defending their flag, dont read any newspapers (except from those totally subjective), and dont know how to read between lines..

anyway.. it is horrible.. war is horrible.. and doing something like this "to defend a country" is horrible..

there are people ,somewhere, who think that that soldier is a hero..and that is concerning :wavey:

These cases are not about sex, they are about power and the fact that these soldiers are in a position of power and authority over ordinary Iraqi citizens.

A small minority of scum choose to take advantage of this in utterly repellent ways, perhaps believing they will be largely protected from the consequences of their actions. In this case, I'm delighted to say, not so - though in other cases, possibly they have got away with it.

An entire country should not be held to be the same as its more unpleasant representatives, though I think the American military does need to get its house in order - part of the problem is that they have a manpower shortage and take just about anyone they can get. This is obviously not good in sensitive or powderkeg situations.

Saying scums, do you mean some leaders: B + B + this new British leader, because I think that they are the biggest among all scums.
I don't understand, what is wrong with your nations. I try to explain it, but it can not hit your nation at all. Occupying wars are always crimes. This war is crime and genocide. Iraq before a war was poor, ruled by this not good man, but it was not such tragedy. Now it is disaster and humanitarian tragedy of all Iraqi people. And this tragedy was caused by your 2 nations directly and some chieftains without honour as some Polish ones indirectly. Normal people should be against it. It is unimagineable how it could be done at all. But it happened. All this crime is not to taken away. But the only way is to stop making the same things. All these terrible crimes commited by occupants ( killing people in ,,raids, airstrikes, car bombs - it is such hard to plant a bomb to car - every soldier can do it and blast off in right moment ). This war is crimes and genocide and it must be ended at last. This occupation and violance against Iraqis gives nothing - it carries only death and destroying and will of revange. You are invaders and your leaders must understand it. So the only way is to leave this state, give peace to this people. So many victims, orphans, invalids, widows. How long will this crime be continuated Every people make faults, some makes crimes too, but the great deal for every criminal is to see how terrible monster is this person and change own person in normal one, which understands own faults, own crimes and wants to stop it, to change it and not to continue own criminal activity and lie. It is clear and this leaders should understand it to the hell. The philosophy of own life should not be based on lies, because it will be wrecked.

My press gave information that american forces prepare theirselves to offensive against insurgents and alleged terrorists. An advisor of Bush resigned. I am not suprised. It is very strange that he endured so long time with this sick bloke.
I don't understand, but these people do not understand it that they are invaders. How much people must be killed in Iraq by them? 1 - 2 mln or 10 mln. For me it is usual crime and genocide and nothing more. It is beyond belief. What do they want in this country practically? It is not their republic or state.
They are usual, primitive mother... f..rs without shame, morality, basic rules and decency.

You Julio 1974
Not all, only some leaders and all people who voted for such people.
Could you explain, what good and beautiful is in such ,,actions,, , in which other people are killed, banished out of own state or they become invalids, orphans, victims of violance and a country is totally destroyed and what beautiful is in continuing of these ,,actions,,? Maybe only you ( Julio 1974 ), Bush and some american ruffians see benefit of it. And for me it is quite clear that people, who make such ,,actions,, must be at least hard psychopaths without morality and basic humane rules.
The last actions ,, Black Eagle,, led to humanitarian ( firstly 1 mln refugees, during this actions 4 mln refugees and tousends people were killed) disaster and outbreak of violance. And what consequences will have the new violance against these people - tousends of killed people and 10 mln refugees? It is their country. If they don't want american invasion that it is time for americans to come to their senses and leave this Iraq. I don't know, but somebody should think of it. People should think of consequennces of own activity most of all.
Anyway such invasions can be supported only by people, in which proamerican authorities killed 30 000- 40 000 people in the past. But believe me that it is not acceptable for normal people. It is unforgivable.
The worst disater are caused always by people. The wars belong to these disasters.
