Re: KIWI returns to the USA! Next stop, LA?!! (summer hardcourt 2007)

can anybody record the match on ESPN2? At least the matchpoint??
If his match is shown, that is...And I don't think that'll be the case.
Not all 4 QFs will be covered by the US TV. At least not fully (I don't know if they'll have higlights for the 2 matches that won't be shown).

I'd take every sec I can get since I will be on holiday from tomorrow on and cannot even watch a livestream if there would be one.... are these US Open series tournaments only shown on US TV? I remember watching that final Kiwi-Haas in 2005 on Chinese Starsport or CCTV5....

Re: KIWI returns to the USA! Next stop, LA?!! (summer hardcourt 2007)

Last year Eurosport 2 had live coverage of 3 US Open series tournaments. Indianapolis, Washington and New Haven. Unfortunately, Indy and Washington aren't on this year's ES 2 TV schedule. :( It remains to be seen if they'll at least show the New Haven Final.

well semis and finals will be on ESPN2 which is usually available as stream but I was hoping to find a channel that is shows the earlier rounds, too. And still if Kiwi should win against Berrer I'd like to have a tape of the next match(es

Only one SF will be shown on ESPN2 and if Blake makes the SF, then it's easy to see which match will be on ESPN2, while the other one will be on TTC.

Oh well, first he needs to defeat Berrer, so I'll stop speculating.

Random. I'm not going to be coming online from now until I'm done reading the new Harry Potter book (no spoilers for me!) so I won't be able to post on here with what Kiwi's doing so let me just say now....

AUF GEHTS KIWI !!!!!
:woohoo:

7:6, 6:1 against Berrer. :yeah:
He lost the break lead he had in the first, but still won the set. The 2nd set was easy work. :)

I hope that Fleishman takes out Stepanek.

EDIT:

Kiefer got a WC for Indy.
:woohoo:, both news are great, hopefully I'll find tomorrow SF somewhere to watch it.

Only if he intended to play qualies there. But I think he isn't even entered in the qualification entry list, with his ranking he probably wouldn't even have made it.
I thought that, too, until a couple of weeks ago. But then Volandri got an SE to Hamburg although he was not in the entry list for qualies. (And I've just seen the Indianapolis draw: Kiwi in fact got an SE there.)

:yeah: Oh nice, thanks for the hint, I didn't even take a look at the draw of Indianapolis yet! :D

Great result, semifinal! :bounce: Good to see that he made use of his draw, the semi points here are good for his ranking and he still has a chance for more.

Re: KIWI returns to the USA! Next stop, LA!!! (summer hardcourt 2007)

Stupid me. For some reason I thought that he still needed to win the SF before getting the SE.
Hopefully he isn't too tired after this week and will play in Indy.

Stepanek hasn't been that great those past weeks, but you never know.
Kiefer leads the H2H with 3:1. The last match took place at the US Open 2005 where Kiwi was down 0:2 before winning in 5.

I don´t think he will be too tired, as he practiced all the time for the condition and he is in a really good shape...

Good luck Kiwi!! Kiwi should def beat Stepanek, I know Kiwi's been away for a while, but his form right now suggests that he's playing pretty high level tennis

Re: KIWI returns to the USA! Next stop, LA!!! (summer hardcourt 2007)

Kiwi wasn't on the alternate list in Indianapolis, as he was unranked six weeks ago, but somehow it seems to be possible to get the SE. :yeah:

Is it right that bet365 shows Indy from Monday already?

Re: KIWI returns to the USA! Next stop, LA!!! (summer hardcourt 2007)

A knee injury forced Kiefer to pull out.
We don't yet know how serious it is. Let's hope for the best. But I guess, we can forget about Indy. Hopefully he'll be able to play the Masters Series event in Montreal.

Re: KIWI returns to the USA! Next stop, INDY?!!! (summer hardcourt 2007)

He is writing on his homepage that he woke up with knee pain. I guess for some injuries it is possible that the pain comes after it happened, but maybe it is just a swelling due to the hardcourt transition and because he wasn't used to this stress on his legs anymore. And hopefully no real demage to the knee like a meniscus, ligament injury or whatever.
