Disapointing, but expected. Rest up now Richard.

Oh, well. He should rest now so he can be prepared for the hardcourt season. There are two master series coming up.

I agree. On a l'embarras du choix pourtant en ce qui concerne les défaites.

Bonnes vacances Richard.

I'm sorry for Richard but I think he was tired in the end, for little injury, for Wimbledon....so now time to vacation!!
He deserved it as well

I didn't listen to it again, I don't remember exactly what he says in each language.
He says he had always played poorly against Vliegen before, but this time he played very well. Andreev is the toughest player left in the draw in his opinion, so he'll need to play a really great match today. He will give his very best since he can rest next week anyway (= he won't play Stuttgart). His ankle is getting better, but his elbow is hurting a little bit (he says he isn't really injured though.)
And then he explains he loves playing in Gstaad, great tournament, everybody is so nice with him, etc. etc.

Is the french part of the interview the same as the English one? Could someone explain what he says in the French part if it is different? Because I don't understand a word of French

, you are right, I overheard that when I listened for he first time. There you go: when you want to make Richard feel comfortable, you have to speak French. On to the study-books, guys.

Maybe he is trying to shed his "sweet and innocent image" with his new interview vocabulary.
It still works for me. I don't think it has something to do with changing image, simply a question of not feeling comfortable in English.
