He is very dissapointed, and has lots of self critisism, he said he played to defense and that he didn't go for his shots. He wanted so sit in a quiet corner a cry for a bit, something he didn't wanted to do since he was 12. He had so many chances to take the match

Robin Haase d. Roko Karanusic 63 76(2)

Robins first win on a atp event, he will play against Berdych or Youzhny in the second so those two guys are in my opinion top 5 in this tournament. Difficult upcoming match

This was my first time seeing him and he won. Looked like he has a lot of talent. His backhand up the line was nice to watch.

He is at his best when he was playing offense.

Can you tell me anything else about him. I read his player's page on atptennis.com but it was really sparse.

Thanks in advance.

Robin is Half Dutch half German, his father is German. He played the junior final of Wimbledon and lost to Jeremy Chardy. After that tournament he turned pro. Last year he was of the quickest climbers of the atp ranking. Although he was left handed he plays right handed becease his father was righthanded. I cant come up with more but feel free to ask any question maybe I can answer them......

Did Haase survived this.....

The Bryan brothers, the world’s number one doubles team, were one of the tournament’s major attractions. To fill the gap in the afternoon programme, the organisation decided to have a demonstration game played on the centre court. Robin Haase (photo) replaced Bob Bryan in a doubles game with Mike against Mahesh Bhupathi and Nenad Zimonjic.

Translation

The final weekend of the ABN Amro tournament is without Dutch players but maybe their is light at the end of the tunnel. De new generation can have a introduction with the real work after some good results in challengers. Robin haase was in the second round were he lost to Jouzhny. The explenation of haase was simple, He didn't made Unforced Errors and I missed lots of my first serves. But is all for the learning process

haase didn't felt much pressure in Rotterdam. He found out that he can keep up with top 20 players in the ralley and he knows that he can improve his game. He thinks he will be fully developed in about 2 years at the age of 22. He also says that he has to be more focussed at scores like 30-15 were you need a first serve to get some space. He says that the difference between the challengers and the atp level is that when he is 0-40 down in a challenger he sometimes let the game go but at this level every player fights to get back in the game.

Haase will play in Wolfsburg, which he won :), and now he is going to the US, after that the Davis cup is on his program if Siemerink will have him in the squad. He would find it odd if he isn't in the team , if he didn't thought he was he would not play on hard court but he would start playing on gravel.

If haase will improve his game and go up in the ranking he also have to deal with new things in Tennis, some things he don't like. At the US open they play music between play and he finds that a bit irritating because it keeps in his head just like a mobile ringtone. But maybe it is nice for every player to have an own song before the match just as in Darts says Robin, but that will be hard becease then there has to be 300 songs and in darts there are only 30 players or so. The breaks are also to short to have some cheerleaders on the court haase says:)

first two rounds aren't very tough and guccione isn't in his early season form I guess were he was very good reaching an atp final after wins over gasquet and del potro. Chances for Robin hopefully he can play like he did in Wolfsburg
