Re: The Official PAW Rules + Supplement

#1 Yes, it depends on the manager. The problem is that in the official result of the match do not specify the start time. The manager is forced to find another source of information. I use the site xscore.com, another may follow the scoreboard on the court or livescore.

#2 If the account is opened (at least 15:0), the pick in second day is not valid.

Asking for guidance.

I have 2 things to ask for advice about deadline of placing PAW pick.

#1 In my tentative understanding, deadline is when the first service is served in a match of interest at the latest. Or it may be when all the players enters a court. So practically time limit depends on a game manager. Is this understanding all right?

#2 Supposing a suspended match which finishes on next day (second day), for instance, a pick sent on the second day before the match is resumed valid or invalid?

Thanks, purtov45!
Testing is to be over in the current French Open.
From Stuttgart on, PAW numbers will be sent in usual numbering.

Currently pick number is usually sent in increment order like 01, 02, and so on.
If order is in decrement, for example, pick #16 is first sent followed by #15 through #01, does it take extra work on thread management?

Second round, Isner vs Brown
Ranking points - in post #5
Isner 2715
Brown 580
2715 / 580 = 4.681...
sqrt(4.681...) = 2.163...
1 / 2.163... = 0.462...
2.163... * 10 -> 21
0.462... * 10 -> 5
Isner vs Brown (5-21)
Thanks anyway, but I was pointed to a thread that explains it.

Thank you! I'm sure I checked that thread, how I missed the points formula the first time, I don't know.

There was no specific match in mind, I'm just wondering how the points are distributed. Let's say Novak Djokovic faces back to back players, each ranked just outside the top 100 in his first two matches in a Masters 1000, i'll call them Players A and B. He's played each player multiple times, dominated them; the points distribution for picking Player A vs Djokovic is 42-3. The points for picking Player B vs Djokovic in the subsequent round is 36-2.

So, I'm just wondering how exactly are the exact points determined? What makes a manager choose 42 instead of 36 points for the upset pick?
