Gerald's Game (2017) - 7.8/10 - Quite unique and another very good movie based on a book by Stephen King. Available on Netflix, strongly recommended.

Re: Last Movie you watched, and what you thought about it?

I've finally finished watching the Godfather series (took me around three months between each film).

I get that they are amazingly shot and brilliantly acted but gosh are they boring; a good gangster film can last around 2 hours, not 2000 hours!

Nieve Negra (2017) - 7/10 - Argentine movie, watched because of a friend's recommendation. I like it, but quite sick ending.

The Dinner (2017)

6/10 - OK, but could have been much much better

I don't like Richard Gere but I made an exception to see this as it's an American remake of an excellent Dutch film.

Message from the King (2016) - 7.2/10 - Good one. I think I liked every Teresa Palmer movie I watched recently, some actors/actress just don't take bad movies.

Death Note (2017) - 6/10 - Decent, but a bit silly. Some people said the manga and anime are better, well, I hate manga and anime, so I won't be testing.

Little Evil (2017) - 2.5/10 - I don't know why people make movies like this one, awful. Only watched this because of Evangeline Lily and it didn't worth it.

Atomic Blonde

Mildly entertaining. Loved the old songs in the soundtrack.

The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017)

Normally I can take or leave Samuel L Jackson but this was a quality film, full of action but with a good amount of humour in it as well.

Necronomicon: Book of the Dead (1993) I found out about this movie a couple of days ago. Being a huge Lovecraft fan, I had to see it. Not gonna lie, it's corny, but captures the lovecraftian vibe perfectly via an anthology structure. Practical effects are a joy to watch, simply outstanding, specially in the first tale. Legendary horror actor Jeffrey Combs plays the writter himself.

Star Wars: Rogue One (2016) After the Episode VII fiasco I had zero intentions of watching this one. We got together with a couple of friends so I had no choice. Pretty much what I expected from the Star-Wars-Disney milking machine. Ridiculously simple plot, forgettable characters, villain providing exposition instead of killing the laying down heroes. Yawn.

Guilty of Romance - 7/10

My 2nd favorite Sion Sono movie I've seen so far. Only seen Tag, Suicide Club and Why Don't You Play in Hell?

Can anyone please tell me if they seen the Extended version of this? I only saw the International, shorter version and want to know the differences of it.

The Organization (1971)

Thoroughly enjoyed this film, ironically I've seen the first one in this trilogy and this film, just missing the middle one. Sidney Poitier plays the role of Tibbs remarkably well and I like a nice gritty detective action film.

The Dark Tower (2017) - 7/10 - Good movie, but nothing like the books. Superb acting by McConaughey as usual.

Obviously this won't be the only Dark Tower movie. I expect a few more. Those who read the books know Walter (Man in Black) isn't the main villain. And since there are quotes about the Crimson King in the movie, I expect him to appear in upcoming movies.

I also think somehow Walter is not dead, since he doesn't die by the gun of Roland in the books. He may have tricked the gunslinger and faked his death, just like he did in the first book (it was made in a different way though).

Re: Last Movie you watched, and what you thought about it?

I recently saw these two. Loved both of them.

The Void (2016) Really solid horror movie, oozes Lovecraft all over the place.

The Void (2016) - IMDb

Under the Shadow (2016) Another horror movie, set post iranian revolution. About Djinns, with heavy social commentary. Takes its time, really builds up tension.

You should watch the original swedish version, if you haven't. So much better. Well, everything is when out of Hollywood's reach.

2:22 - 6.5/10 - Decent, but very predictable for a supposed thriller.

It was so obvious Jonas was Noah.
