Re: help me out

You should learn the grip and form first or you will leave playing tennis after just find out and pick up the ball all the time

Re: help me out

Tennis is a great game and it can be played on all different levels. You can go out and play with your friends for fun or you can play competitively. If you want to play on your high school team, then I would recommend lessons, clinics, tournaments, and a ton of practice. Good luck on your efforts!

Re: help me out

I've started playing tennis this summer and I'm taking group lessons. I think it's worth the try because it's real fun to get to know people and enjoy the game.

Re: help me out

If your new to the game go out with some friends and have some fun!
The more you play the better you will get....even without any instruction
you will adjust your playing style and will get a `feel` for the ball.

Play some matches and enjoy this fantastic game!

If you feel your getting the bug then consider going to some local
clubs....most will offer free taster sessions or open days which is
great for meeting new people, playing some tennis and finding out
information on what each club offers. (With no money to spend )

Bring a few friends along.....and when you think you would like to
play tennis regularly join a club and get involved in there club nights
and coaching programme, then a coach can get involved in developing
your technique and game!

You will never look back....may I be the first to say welcome to the best
sport in the world!!
