Monfils 10-4 (71.4%) record in final set tiebreakers is best of top 16!

Absolutely right.

I was still caught up in the fact that he was a set and a break up yesterday I think.

It's an interesting point, perhaps it's possible that he wanted to try it out after seeing Jo's results and level of expression on the court in the last month.

Still, at the time of my last post I believed the underlying reason for the split was that Rasheed had been offered the chance to work with Murray. If that is not the case and it was GaŽl's decision I'm a bit more confused by it all, but we'll have to wait until the end of the season to offer our decisive judgements I guess.

This is obviously not the start to the Chamagne era we were hoping for. A strange loss to put it lightly, but they can happen from time to time.

Has there been any speculation about other people GaŽl may work with in the future?

Re: ~~Articles & Interviews about/of GaŽl~~

Surprising development for me, it's a relationship that has weathered plenty of turbulent results over the 3 years but now with GaŽl's career path seeming steadier than ever they split.

There seems to some suggestion in GM that Roger's got another job lined up but who knows. It's unfortunate, they were a good partnership and I feel he's done a lot for his career.

On the positive side, it's not like GaŽl is going to forget what Rasheed has instilled in him now they're not working together. It's always been about imposing his aggressiveness in matches and becoming a more proactive player. Really harnessing GaŽl's ability in a more effective manner rather than anything else. I think he's mature enough now to almost be self-sufficient out there with his experience, but I just hope the motivation stays right without Rasheed in his ear and that there's no coaching carousel in the future.
