Re: (Ranking Watch) Bouncing around

One last bump...

Marat's ranking for the week of Nov 16th --> #61
+4 spots from the previous week.

Also, his ranking is +25 from his 2009 low of #86 a month ago.

If anyone thinks that is bad, I invite you to look up his doubles ranking for comparison...
and chuckles...

Thanks Sheepy! Maybe Marat gets extra points for good behaviour? He hasn't broken a racquet in a while.

Re: (Ranking Watch)

Just in case anyone's interested (while there's nothing more interesting to report) but Judio does an excellent ranking thread on GM and he came up with an interesting ranking list based on grand slam performances....thought I'd copy in the first one here...don't think 8th best performer in the Slams is too bad a result

"Here are two tables to show you the Best Performers
in 2008 using Race points for the Big Two Categories of Events.
You will notice that Del Potro features in neither and Roddick
is not in the Top 20 in Slams

GRAND SLAMS

Code:
Pts Trn
1 Nadal 580 4
2 Federer 570 4
3 Djokovic 387 4
4 Murray 206 4
5 Tsonga 155 2
6 Ferrer 130 4
7 Monfils 120 2
8 Safin 111 4
9 Gonzalez 102 4
10 Schuettler 99 4
11 Youzhny 95 3
12 Nieminen 87 4
13 Wawrinka 82 4
14 Verdasco 82 4
15 Cilic 82 4
16 Mathieu 82 4
17 Blake 79 4
18 Davydenko 76 4
19 Hewitt 75 3
20 Fish 73 4 "

*EDIT...and his ATP ranking has gone up to 29
