sounds like Ted Robinson to me, he's glued to Mcenroe on American telecasts.

Whoever the guy is opposite McEnroe on NBC just had this gem. Johnny Mack " blah blah, he's playing great on clay, taking out all these guys, now Karlovic and Isner."
Other guy: "Yeah taking out the Twin Towers of tennis"
Murray-Al Qaeda comparison, would make the hatetards here proud.

I always hated Eurosport and Sky commentators since they usually say dumb stuff. Eventually I've become immune to the bullshit. I was just waiting for someone to trash talk that disgusting kit.

Still better than the Croatian commentators. Our "most famous" one said: Cilic has a great kick serve. Shame he's playing on clay where you can't use it. That was the last match he commentated. He retired after at least 20 years of commentating tennis.

They were basically saying how it's a bit weird and that the manufacturer should have prepared two kits for those ocassions. One should wear the zebra kit and the other the giraffe kit. Even commentators throwing punches at Adidas.

FWIW Inverdale did say something along the lines of 'It's always low in the entertainment stakes when Karlovic is playing' yesterday, which although true, is not something you tend to hear commentators say outright .

Re: Commentary at its finest

Good to see this thread bumped in time for Inverdale - Castle season. Surely Wimbledon won't repeat the mistake of letting Inverdale actually commentate on live matches again? I still remember Peter Fleming barely being able to hide his disdain for him during Gasquet - Wawrinka at Wimbledon.

Will be interesting to see the degree to which Castle still froths over Dimitrov.

Re: Commentary at its finest

Inverdale has had a quiet Roland Garros so far, but he did pick out Taro Daniel as 'one for the future'. I'm sure the people that complain about no new stars stepping up will be pleased to hear it.

I think that was Peacock, Masur isn't commentating (thank god)
