Re: Nico in Acapulco

i thought the same like you sara when i saw the result of the match vs. calleri, i think it´s a great result after this long time and esp. as calleri is in a great shape at the moment! winning a doubles match was surely good for his confidence so let´s hope he´ll do better and better with every match during the next couple of weeks!

Nico in Acapulco

Hi all

I know you probably realise by now that Nico is back on court, unfortunately he lost his comeback match against Calleri but to be honest, I thought the score 6-3, 6-3 was quite respectable seeing that he hadnt played singles since December and was trying to test his stamina and physical fitness levels.

Anyway did any of your realise that Nico got into the doubles tournament as an alternate with his partner Sergio (?) Roitman from Argentina? If not, I can report that they won their first match 7-6, 7-6 against Spanish pair Martin and Montanes and are set to play again later today against the czech pairing of Cibulec and Minar. This should be great for Nico, an extra chance to gauge his match fitness and get some more time on court but without having to do too much and certainly getting his tennis eye back in.

After having so long off the courts, it will take a few matches for him to be hitting and timing the balls at his best.

Good luck Nico.
