Seems that no one cares about Marcos career anymore
Anyways he reached the final of a challenger AO warmup and lost to Harrison but it moved his ranking up to 78.
Now in AO he beat Gabashvili in 5 sets then beat (20) Goffin in 4 sets
Third round will be against (10) Dimitrov and also he is playing doubles with Matosevic here
Oh I care. I care very much. Things were starting to get depressing in the last year or two (so much wasted talent being flushed away), but after Marcos's showing at the AO this week us Bag fans now have some reasons to be optimistic.
However Marcos has gotten his ranking up to 45 so not all hope is lost. Bogota has bad altitude and he played on clay and had just gotten there from Davis Cup in San Marino. Not trying to make excuses for him but
I remember when Marcos first hit the pro tour there were all these people singing and chanting in Greek. It was amazing to hear, but then Marcos kind of fell on hard times However, he seems to be doing better lately
I'm optimistic. I'm sure he can lift his career back up again.
