Agassi and Nadal are out of the TMC.

5 down, 4 to go.

Safin, Hewitt and Roddick have withdrawn from Shanghai. JC needs just 6 more players to withdraw to qualify for Shanghai.

3 down, 6 to go:

I hear Federer is still unsure.
Nadal was complaining about tendinitis in his knee.
Puerta shouldn't be allowed because of his alleged drug-taking.

Just 3 more and he can book his flight to Shanghai, eh?

Robredo has no chance against Ivan, he lost to him even on clay, let alone on Indoor. So Juanqui is still ahead of him by 2 points.

At least he lost to the eventual champion. He put up a really good fight too. The encouraging thing is that if he'd been playing as well as he use to, he might have beaten Berdych.
Shame about the draw.

I think Tommy is #19 after today, but he plays Ivan next.

I thought he's going to finish #20 as Robredo will go ahead of him?

There aren't any TMSes until Indian Wells, correct? He has time to get up to top 16 by then, he'll finish #18 or #19 as it is right now and a good result at the AO could get him up to the top 15 by the time Indian Wells rolls around.

Yep, that's what really disappoints me most...that means that we have to dread the draws at the TMSes again or hope that 5 players withdraw, etc., etc.

I hope *I* have something left for 2006.

Re: Ah, Paris in the fall is magnifique, and so is JC!

I think in situations like this, I would have prefered a straight set loss...two weeks in a row he wins the second set tiebreak, yet falls short in the third once more. He's supposed to be carrying the momentum because of that, and he's not. Physically he may be feeling 100%, but mentally he's not there yet.

Failed both his goals in 2005: qualify for Shanghai, end the year in the top 15.

Here's looking forward to 2006.

I think that it was sad that some tournaments he has played, he had almost won. that is such a but I am sure he did try his best, I mean who wouldn't?

Re: Ah, Paris in the fall is magnifique, and so is JC!

Oh well, bye bye 2005

I didn't see the whole match but what I saw summed up the way he's been playing this year. Consistently average. He can rally forever, like he use to, but he hasn't got the great attacking skills that he use to have. He doesn't construct points the way he use to because his forehand doesn't dictate anymore.

Happy hols JC then come back and WORK HARD to find your old self again.
