Tomorrow begins the Lyon tournament, the last step in France before Paris. Our guy will have a tough 1st round match because he's gonna play a Frenchy who's known to be a true fighter. To tell you the truth, I'd be cheering for him if he wasn't playing Gaston...Our special reporter will be in the stands to counterbalance the wide and warm support Gnome N°2 will get from the crowd. Good luck Gaston and great tournament Eléa! :)

I just came back for the tournemant, tomorrow will be a big tennis day, with Gaston in doubles in a small room :D
I'm happy because.. Gaston smiled at me during the mach, it's stupid but it was really for me

This match was very hard for my nerves! i don't know how it looked like on tv but it was a great match for us, i'm happy that Gaston didn't give up the fight.. i'm too tired to tell you properly, i apologize... i wil post 1 pic on the picture thread, all my pics are crappy and as i said before, it's forbidden so you have to hide a bit... but it's better than nothing ;)

Not stupid at all - of course the smile was for you - players do see who is supporting them and usually like to say thanks - especially when that support comes from a good-looking girl ;) Anyway - have fun today - and DON'T put Gaston off in that very small room.................oh - and if you get a chance to sneak a photo of Mariano Puerta - I would be very happy :)

Gaston plays doubles today on Court 1 as 3rd match. Hope he and Puerta can beat Cibulec/Skoch. And that Eléa can take some pics...:secret:

It was a great match from the tv too Eléa. The 1st set was totally under control for Gaston and Arnaud even got frustrated. Which is kinda rare, seeing him complaining about the public, the umpire (Lars Graff, but nothing undeserved there! :) ) The score has been only reflecting the quality of Gaston's play. But in the 2nd set, Arnaud has decided to play more aggressive, coming to the net every time he could, and Gaston lost a bit of focus. Frustration had jumped over the net on the other side of the court this time. Arnaud's efforts have thus been rewarded. For the 3rd set, well, I hope somebody else who's seen the match will add his/her comments.

Next match will be against the winner of Monfils/Hernych. Sounds like some revenge...

I'm so happy Gastón won!!! It's just great to break that "lost in 1st round" series :bigclap: :bigclap: :bigclap:
Unfortunatelly my sily internet didnt work at all after I posted here, so I folowed the score by teletext of my friend (perversion :D )
Hope next time it's gonna be ok, and also Eurosport promised to cover Lyon, so VAMOS!!!!!!

Gaston's next opponent will be Monfils. Their match, initially scheduled for tomorrow, will finally take place on Thursday, on Gaël's request to the organizers, after he got injured during today's match against Hernych. Request accepted.

I am very happy Gaston won and thanks for your little report, Elea :)

I wish you lots of fun tomorrow and hopefully you will bring him luck at the doubles also ;)

I just wanted to talk about the double! :haha: it was a parody! (does it make sense?) Gaston and Mariano didn't stop laughing (especially Gaston!) don't worry, they are not that disappointed to have loose...
i have better pics this time but i wanted to show you one which well represents the match.. Gaston playing guitar with his raquet ;)

George, fell free to move the pic in the pic thread because... it's a report of Lyon but there is a pic so.. ;)

Is Gaston trying to play the guitar? Now, he plays Monfils it should be a good challenge for him.

This post has been removed to where it should be placed, and yes his win deserves congratulations.

Thanks for that pic Eléa. It's really awesome. And I think that Mariano's fans would appreciate to have it there too. Would you mind posting it there or maybe I can post it for you. Just tell me. :)

Oh, special msg Eléa. Yesterday, Jackson Richardson was in the crowd, sitting next to Grégory Coupet. If, by chance you happen to meet him, could you just "steal" a pic for me?

Gaston's match is scheduled for tomorrow at 2pm on the Center Court. Eurosport has of course promised to show it live. And for info, Gaël's been injured at his abductors.
YAY, finally GG on my tv screen :) :) :) Can't wait! VAmos Gaston!

Thanks Eléa for your reports and pics. Are you going to Lyon tomorrow, as well?

Of course yes!!!!! in fact i have tickets only for tomorrow, but don't worry Gaston if you'll win tomorrow (why "if"? when you will win! :p ) i'll buy more tickets ;)
I will be in your tv again tomorrow

I wanted to let you know that we finally found the training courts and we went there at 12AM.. guess who was starting his training? :p We were so happy to see him working hard, because this training was very good :)
I didn't take pics of his training i'm sorry... in fact it was a bit dark, at least too dark to make good pics and i could't use the flash, i didn't want to annoy Gaston and Franco... but i will post all my (crappy) pics very soon.

Another really great thing: i met Reiko! what a joy to meet her, we will meet again tomorrow of course :D
I will go to bed now because tomorrow i have a man to support at 2PM ;)

Not before 2.00pm

- MONFILS Gael (FRA) vs GAUDIO Gaston (ARG)

Second match on the centre court. It will be tough for him in this match, if he can win good, if not he should be used to the surface now and get prepared for Paris.

Good Luck to Gaston - I will be at work so no chance to watch for me  but I will try and follow the live scoring as much as possible. Glad you're still having fun Elea - and please say :wavey: to Reiko for me too!

No no no...don't tell me they've changed the OOP! I hope it's only a mistake. Because the match of 2pm will be shown on Eurosport and the match of 3.30pm will be on Eurosport 2, which I can't get. And yesterday, when they announced the programm, it was Grosjean at 3.30pm! Please....

Gicquel is playing first and then Gaston is on after that and that OOP was the one I got from the thread said. It seems that I have read it wrong that Gaston is not before 1400 and not before 1530.

I'll change that.

:bounce:   ;)

Lyon works that way. 1 match at noon, then 14pm, then 15.30pm and then 2 from 18.30pm. We never get to see the noon match. As for the 3.30, it is shown only on Eurosport 2, so that we, users of Eurosport, could watch WTA in Linz and Basel instead.
