Sorry for the somewhat premature thread but, as a Canberra born, I'm excited about Kyrgios.

Born: 27 Apr 1995
Birth place: Canberra, Australia
Plays: Right Handed (Double Handed Backhand)

Probably his biggest achievement to date came in doubles. He won (boys) Roland Garros and Wimbledon with Andrew Harris this year. His singles results have been coming along too, he recently won Canada (Grade 1) and made the quarters of Wimbledon and the US Open. Men's tour experience and results have been limited, but his showings have been respectable.

Already top 5 in juniors, he'll be one of the favourites for this year's u18 national championships and next year's junior Australian Open.

Nick 66th in the live rankings after this win. Amusingly, one spot ahead of Vesely.

MD entries should be no problem anymore :)

And in case anyone likes to do hypotheticals, one more win would see him rise to 35th, well ahead of Lleyton and Marinko and thus best Aussie....

Great to watch, to witness. Was good tennis, amazing stuff.
Now tonight against Raonic, may he play his best and get the win.

Congarts to Nick for his incredible effort here in Wimbledon! I think he has a good future ahead of him, and Tennis has hope after all for the new generation. I actually think losing here might help him more than reaching the Semis because if he wins the QF he reaches the Top 30 which might be too much of a transition from him (as Top 30 are commitment players, correct me if I'm wrong). At least here he could build step by step and rise with his fellow youngsters, like Vesely and Thiem on their way to the top. Let us see how the HC season brings which I hope would be awesome. He seems to have the confidence to play against top guys, so we might see tough matches from him. I think his fitness is just letting him down for now (see against Paire on AO and Raonic on Wimbledon) but I think it would just improve in time.
