I realized we didn't have that thread yet and it's about time :D

Alex is on the qualies list for the Australien Open. He needs 4-9 players to withdraw (the number is because of official and unofficial withdrawls) to get a main draw spot.

Then he's also in the alternat list for Buenos Aires 2 weeks later.

Fingers crossed that he gets in the main draw at thos 2 tournaments!

VAMOS ALEX!!! :worship:

Yeah Interclubs is a competition between Swiss Clubs ;) For example TC Stade-Lausanne will play, on Wednesday I think, against TC Old Boys Basel ( ;) ) in the Swiss First Division... I don't know how come he got into it  All they said is that he will play on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (if I am not wrong) and that he is replacing Wawrinka who's gone in the US...

No it is not a challenger ;)

In their first match Stade Lausanne lost 0:9

Alex lost two of his matches, singles to Mazarakis 46 26 and doubles with Jeanpierre against Schukin/Valent 26 57.
Today should be the next day of play.

Any other information is more then welcome!!!

Oh and by the way, Alex has a new coach! But I forgot his name  He's a former coach of doubles player Johnson...

WHO is Mazarakis????
Alex shouldn't lose so often ... :(
Well, Mazarakis is actually the No.161 in the rankings, so about 70 places higher than Alex...

Nathy, thanks -- pls keep us updated even if Alex doesn't win... photos too??

I'm off to Montreal Friday morning so no Rogi, no Alex, no Albert, no Gaston... but there are plenty of Spanish and S Amer guys to follow and Stan and Richard!

Hasta luego!

Enano -- Rogi is playing TMS Madrid I see -- saw it in El Mundo Deporte, Marca, etc.

Okay guys

I went today to the Tennis Club to see Alex play. He started about half an hour after I arrived. When he entered the court he was cheered up by the people there :D Nice to see him smiling and wawving at them :)

He played good, it was sunny and hot but I think he did lose against Marco Pedrini from the Seebach Kreuzlingen Tennis Club. I left when he was down 3-6 4-5 and the other guy to serve... So I think he lost the second set 6-4 but not sure, maybe did he fight to come back... Atm no result available so let's think so...

I took pics from him so here they are :D Enjoy :D

Merci beaucoup, Nathy, que tu es gentille! It's nice to see Alex smile cos his smile is amazing, like his personality. I think the tournament director in Gstaad really misses Alex -- after all, he did win it 3x! How cool that Alex will play at TCOB!! Neat! Maybe Rogi s go and watch!!

;)

Hey, Alex is looking GOOD!!!! Like the shorter hair again. ;)

#118 ·
Yeah indeed! I didn't like it when he had a beard an long hair :( But he was looking fine today, seemed healthy and happy to play there... Btw he will play TCOB in Lausanne, not in Basel and as Rogi is already in the US (I think) he won't come and see it... unfortunately :p

Can't wait to be on Saturday to see him again :D
