Then be sure to check out Marat's player forum. There are plenty of fans here.

go go Marat safin!

Hi, I'm JH from South Korea. : :
I ran into this site yesterday. At first I just thought of going around the forum, and being out of it.
But it's really interesting, and I'm so happy to meet many tennis fans. I decided to be a part of this forum.
Actually tennis isn't a popular sport in our country. After last year Maria Sharapova visited our country, some people were likely to get interested in tennis. But actually it is Maria's appearance that attracts people's attention, not tennis.
Anyway, I don't have any buddies to talk about tennis and my favorite tennis player here. Now I'm so happy to have many friends to share my interest in tennis.

How did I have interest in tennis?
Since I saw Stefan Edberg's game on TV, I became a big tennis fan. But My interest faded after he retired. I was quite away from tennis for a long time until I began to watch the Aussie Open this year. At first I didn't know Marat Safin well except smashing his rackets, but I got attracted to him after seeing him giving a presention speech at the Aussie Open. He was funny and witty enough to make the crowds there laugh a lot, even in English - not in his native language. Marvelous!
I want to talk with you a lot about marat and tennis.
Glad to meet you all!! (= 만나서 반갑습니다!! in our Korean characters)
