Re: What is EasyInline Ads?

Vig Links still there. The word that was underlined in Burrow's post was "Toffs" (if that matters). At the bottom you can see that the link is rover dot ebay dot com, etc.

Edit: A link appeared on one of the words in this post (at least that's how I see it)

Re: What is EasyInline Ads?

The VigLinks ads should be gone now. It was an issue stemming from VigLink's end and they have given or webmaster the details for the fix. sorry for the delay.

This is a new computer (well, refurbished, but a new installation) I'm using at work and it has never been on MTF before this visit, so don't tell me I got some bug somewhere else.

In the first pic you see the underlined word and in the second the little text box that appears when you put your mouse pointer over it. The link was some bizrate thing followed by a bunch of garbled letters/numbers and then footlocker .com or something like that.
I have the same problem. The worst was it happened to a user name and I could not click on the name to see the user's profile without clicking the ad

I don't know how to find the URL. I have another one today and I tried to find it's property by right clicking on my mouse (I use I/E 10 here). It runs flash player and I had warning by McAfee.

No. That's not normal. If you see it again, can you also post the URL.

Thanks.

This is not a pop up but it "floated" across my screen and stayed for about 10-15 seconds. It happened a few times (the same ad) and I only reported it now because I am quite sure this only happens when I'm on MTF and after a page is loaded.

Re: What is EasyInline Ads?

As I said this is my MAC computer at work, so I don't know much about it. I don't "maintain" these computers -- we have I.T. guys for that. I don't know if anything could have "installed itself" here because we have limited user privileges and anytime we want to install something or even upgrade the browser to a new version, we are prompted to enter an administrator password (which only the I.T. guys have). Though I'm sure there are ways to get around that safeguard.

Re: What is EasyInline Ads?

The third is the pop-over ad (not sure if that's the right term) that covered up MTF completely on the screen (though you can close it by clicking the "X" in the top right corner.

(couldn't attach so using tinypic URL)

Re: What is EasyInline Ads?

Finally these came back on my computer (at work). Managed some screen captures.

The first is the word, in green font, double underlined. The second was very hard to screencapture because it only lasts a couple of seconds when you hover your mouse pointer over the word (I didn't click it, no need to, it seems.)

It's not letting me upload the third screen cap because of the size of the image. I'll try in a new post, or if that fails I'll upload it to tinypic...

I can report that I haven't seen any more of these myself.
