Re: Week 16 : Sarasota (Entry List)

Pella losing to Molchanov

edit: btw a thing that i've noticed in these usa tournaments is that in some parts of the game the camera is focused on a player and we're not seing anything from the point and we can tell who won the point just from that player's reaction. It pretty much pisses me off

Re: Week 16 : Sarasota (Entry List)

I give him credit for being clutch on the break points but Pella was way too passive there. Also i give credit to Molchanov for the two points he played in the last game at 15-15 and at mp. He was running like crazy while Pella looked exhausted

Pella could shed a few pounds in order to get fitter.

Re: Week 16 : Sarasota (Entry List)

Johnson/Klahn were defaulted after winning the first 3 games against Zverev/Kuznetsov.

What happened?

Kuznetsov beat Johnson earlier in the singles match. Did Johnson have ill will built up from that result enough that he done something in the doubles match to get them defaulted?

Rarely see a default after winning the first 3 games, normally it might happen when someone is losing and they're pissed off and that causes abnormal actions

Re: Week 16 : Sarasota (Entry List)

Odesnik leads Arguello 6-3 *1-0

This is my first time watching the Argentine play and he is spectacularly atrocious. Terrible match in general.

It would be horrible to see Odesnik claiming the RG WC.

GSM Odesnik over Arguello 6-3 6-0

Terrible match, but Arguello did save one MP in a phenomenal way (between the legs passing shot). He was fighting like crazy in that last game, saving a slew of MPs.

Re: Week 16 : Sarasota (Entry List)

SF for Molchanov is the career best result (formally it's a repeating of last year SF in Pingguo, but that was 50K event). This win moves Molchanov to career best ranking (around 203-204 now and even top 200 in case he'll win in SF)...

Many years I considered Denys as a hopeless player, but this year he (being 25 yo, he will be 26 yo in a month) amazes me by surprising wins
