Only just seen your post ... thanks for your thoughts. Doesn't help that we live 165 miles away ... nor the fact that for the last 2 weeks I've been laid low with flu Still, after the first 3/4 days, as I lay in bed well enough to watch TV at least, my husband brought up some DVDs of Roger's matches which cheered me up no end .. esp the WTF 2011 where he gave Nadal a good old thrashing Is there any finer sight to behold than Roger in full flow? Unplayable as the commentator said.

My greatest wish for Roger in 2013 is for him to get his 8th Wimbledon title and not have to share the titles record with Sampras.

Yes. I think (I'm pretty sure) it was from the Colombia clinic day I deduce it from the polo he wore.

Here a static image of it

So do I. And I sometimes wonder whether he spreads himself too thinly, with all the other things he has going on as well. Some of them must be quite a distraction.

To be clear, I'm on the boat that says Roger is among the strongest mental players ever. I just think the concentration has waned in recent years, understandably.

Kat, I know. I was just looking for some ways to see Roger again sooner. He needs a long break badly. I feel that the packed schedule with the OG last year is still lingering for him.
Here is what a Swiss poster on rf.com said

I have just read in the swiss newspaper Tagesanzeiger
that Roger told the swiss jounos in swissgerman, that if
he would not have had the off day on tuesday he would
have thought about a forfait for the Stan-Match

Litotes . Could not have said it better myself.
It reminds me of a quote I heard in a hip hop song:
Quote:
Stop looking at what you ain't got and start being thankful for what you do got.
So rest well and come back soon, Roger!

I agree with Kyle. Maybe not even the mentality, but I think Fed should show more emotion in his game at particular times. Sure you will get the occasional "Come on!", but they are few and far between. Positive body language (even feigned) gives confidence and intimidates opponents. Just look at Nadal after saving break points

Yeah. Guess losing to the ultimate winner slightly takes the edge off the defeat, though.
