Not quite as bad as it may seem. Mesaros was ranked as high as the 140s just two years ago and likes clay the best, but still. I thought taking the set off Tsonga might give him a boost.

Frank loses in the quarterfinals 6-2 6-2 to a Croatian qualifier Kristijan Mesaros.

Needs points. And his Challenger record in recent months/years isn't that great with one or two exceptions. Probably searching for some confidence too.

Frank playing a 10k futures in Hungary this week - not sure where he thought he'd be at this stage of his career. Hopefully he grinds away - GS qualies are a long shot at this point, and there are plenty of plus 30 year old guys doing just fine on the tour. Too much talent not to play at a decent level again before he retires

Looks like Frank is playing a futures event in Hungary. He's listed on the draw as a 3rd seed. Hopefully he should get some wins in but honestly, I thought Frank was going to play in some Challenger events and work his way up the ranks again instead of playing futures events.

I'm curious why he chose this route.

ATP site shows twice, with Frank winning both. Both matches were a while ago, 2006 and 2008.

Lots of points to defend. More importantly would love to see a Dancevic-Polansky match. Have they ever played against each other?

Unfortunatly this kind of thing is somewhat common with tennis players for some reason, they don't take good enough care of themselves.

Yeah, tough draw, but more importantly I want him to take time off until he's fully healthy, it's like he's doing what Milos did last year.

Draws number 1 seed Sugita in R1 of Drummondville. Hasn't come close to beating anyone at that level this year
