Oh the pain... Must be hurting real bad.

I hope every tourney speed up the court to expose that Croc Faker is one dimensional player who can win only on slow as molasses surface.

Well, Wimbledon will remain slow because Andy Murray is part of the lobbying nations, and he has an advantage on slower courts. Not that he himself would ever request something like that. I believe it would be beneath him.

Re: "Speed up the courts and general court speed Thread"

if australia is medium-fast range then indian wells/miami should be medium. Then post grass it should be medium-fast through the rest of the year. I dont get why hard courts should ever be slow.

We have enough clay court slow tennis events. The rest of the year should be medium at best and grass needs to be faster than hard courts.

Will be sad if wimbledon is slower than aussie open.

Re: "Speed up the courts and general court speed Thread"

Cahill was saying that the court speed in 2016 was about the same as 2017 in Australia. However the balls were changed in 2017 and these ones didn't fluff up quite as easily as the ones they used before. That was the change that helped the fast court players like Mischa Zverev do well here. It has been often said that fast courts disadvantage Nadal. To me that is simply not true. The low bouncing courts disadvantage Nadal but fast courts with high enough bounce work great for him. Faster courts reduce margin of error. So while someone like Roger can benefit from a quick court when he is playing well, when he is off his game, a quick court can hurt him as well. It is quite telling that AO17 was quicker than Wimbledon 16 and the difference in bounce is almost nothing. It is okay in my mind for Grass to not be super quick but really not okay for grass to have hard court like bounce.

I don't think they should speed up all the courts. Some events, yes, but it's better that there is variety. And make them too fast and it could be very boring.

Now speed it up into the 'fast' tier and watch Djokovic lose all of his round-robin matches

Federer has got screwed too many times since 2012. I hope these changes carry on to the Australian open.

Re: "Speed up the courts and general court speed Thread"

Well Fedal did manage to get rid of carpet, so I guess it's only fitting they sped up the court the year neither of them is playing

You gotta admit you'd be pissed if you were a Fed fan. The timing Fed-wise........ It's like they're doing it out of spite
