Re: Most ranking points in slams

Updated after AO 2016.

Djokovic does a dramatic leap from 6th to 2nd in the total list.

For the AO list Murray goes past Newcombe and Nadal into 8th and has the highest amount of points ever won in a single slam by someone who never got a title.

For the HC list Djokovic goes past Agassi and Sampras into 2nd. Murray goes past Connors into 9th.

Thanks, I'll add these for the next update.

Originally I just did all #1s and slam winners. That's why they're missing.

I think Davydenko should be included in the HC list with 4100 points. So he'd be at #28.
Also, Nalbandyan has 3880 point on HC, so he is above Ferrero, but would be #31 after including Davydenko.

You don't have to assume, the information is given in the OP Only Open Era, starting with RG 1968. And yes, Rosewall certainly has the record for most points after turning 33, trouncing Connors on that stat.

Nice, Federer needs 835 points on clay to pass Vilas, 875 points on Grass to become the King of Grass. Important records next year, and real motivation to do well!

He'd be 3rd on clay, number 1 in grass and number 1 in hard.

He would equal Connors in that accomplishment, although McEnroe would later pass him on hardcourts, and Lendl and Wilander on clay, so he didn't stay there.

Re: Most ranking points in slams

Updated to include all of 2015.

For overall points Djokovic stays in 6th but could now leapfrog all the way up to 2nd with just one more good result. Wawrinka enters the list in 30th.

For USO points Federer moves past Sampras into 2nd. Hewitt moves past Edberg into 9th. Murray advances one spot to 14th and Cilic enters the list in 24th.

For total HC points Djokovic passes Lendl to move into 4th, within reach of 2nd. Wawrinka moves up three spots to 18th and Cilic two spots to 24th.

It is truly bizarre that probably next year we will have Federer-Djokovic-Nadal in the top3. What a domination!

And Murray has real chances of breaking the top10 in the long run!

Re: Most ranking points in slams

Updated after W.

Djokovic passes Agassi to move into 6th place for total points, and also advances from 8th to 7th for Wimbledon points. Murray advances from 13th to 11th for Wimbledon points.

Federer's Wimbledon total exceeds Connors' USO total for the highest total achieved at any one slam.

Re: Most ranking points in slams

Updated after RG

Nadal gets into 2nd place for total points.
Murray advances from 14th to 13th, and Ferrer from 29th to 28th. Wawrinka is not on the list yet at 33rd.

For RG points Federer moves from 4th into 3rd, Djokovic from 11th to 8th, Ferrer moves from 26th to 22nd and Wawrinka enters the list at 28th.

His SF spot places Murray a measly 30 points off the RG list with 3170. Getting to the F would obviously propel him onto the list.
