Roger always downplays his injuries leading up to/during/immediately after events, only admits something was seriously wrong much later, so I wouldn't look too much into this "news" even if it's true.

good to hear and this is just as i had thought. Yes, if federer is seen early this week at the us open practice then good to go and if he plays on kids day well that is even more confidence he is doing well.

He likely starts on day 2 typically so that is roughly 10 more days to rest/practice before his opening match. And really i think he could get through week 1 even if slightly off.

By week 2 which is 17-18 days from now he would be 100% if its the same old back spasms so
hopefully this actually works in feds favor with more rest, less pressure, and maybe the competition thinking he will be off.

I hope it is really true, and not just some pr exercise by his team to calm down everyone's fear.

And yes, luckily this happened at Montreal and not a week before the USO. Plus 600 points.

we need somebody in new York to provide us with eye witness update/account once he gets there and starts practicing.

He got his matches in. Let the rest of the field tire themselves out while fed rests. He will be 100% in full practice by the weeeknd and latest by monday where he will have a full week to practice for the open. This is more of an anoying injury that self resolves so i feel like things will be just fine.
