Re: Federer : The Mother Of All Quests : 20 Slams And 100 Titles.

federer's forehand has not received the sort of praise its deserved. when he switched to his bigger racquet, it was diminished however that appears to no longer be the case.

federer's forehand is a surgeon's knife, mercilessly removing the hope of all that stand before him.

manadrainer With Nole out Fed might have good chances (depending on the draw obviously), I'm hoping he drops Montreal and focuses on cincy / USO only.

Hopefully he can do better than the last 8 years. It's crazy to think he won it five times in a row and then couldn't manage a win in the next 8 seasons.

this is a done deal by the way.

there is no way he is going to miss this opportunity to redefine tennis immortality.

the man is on a mission. that is why he is so focused
.
I agree, every single minute of every day until the US open, Federer is busy with the opportunity to get his 20th slam there. Something he himself never could've thought possible at the beginning of the year.

Roger's stock is on the rise:

1. he has chances at the U.S. Open

2. He has chances at WTF

Djokovic is the only man that can stop Roger. But Djokovic is out of it for now.

Not only that, we all know Ellison designed and built IW courts specifically to enhance Nadal's strength and minimize Federer's.

And yet Nadal got clobbered.

I mean, clobbered is a kind word to describe that match.

Both would have me over the moon, 20 career grand slams AND 100 career titles!

it was beyond horrible against that clown he lost to at Wimbledon.

in that last set--for over 2.5 hours--he failed to make a single decent return on return of serve.

but he has himself to blame for that.

at any rate he is not returning much better on the hard courts either.

sooner or later he will get killed by some clown with a big serve at the U.S Open also.

Federer has a clear path to the U.S. Open final there.

Theoretically, a high-bouncing court enhances RAFA's extreme topspin game style. Furthermore, we know Federer usually struggles on the BH side when he has to hit the ball at a height higher than his shoulders. The solution is to be be super aggressive and take the ball on the rise but that requires extreme precision and it's usually not easy to perform.

IW is a tricky one. RAFA and Federer have played there three times and although their h2h there is 2-1 in Federer's favor, all three matches have been pretty straight forward.

In any case, I am sure that if, given the choice, RAFA would always prefer to play on a high bouncing court. He himself has stated he prefers those type of courts. With Federer on the other hand, I'm sure he'd prefer a low-bouncing court.

A higher bounce will favor RAFA, also.

Of course Federer doesn't live for the numbers. I'm very aware of it.
I was asking Clay Death if he would come up with new quests for Fed.
