Re: M.Muzza.M Chat

It feels weird to watch Murray win another Wimbledon, another Olympics like this... to wait for a major final knowing that he doesn't really have another mountain to climb, he just has to not fuck it up. I was actually getting a little bored in the Wimbledon final in the second and third sets, having to focus a bit more when it looked a tad dangerous that he might blow it, only to be quickly reassured when he played solid confident stuff in the tiebreak. Is this what it feels like to be primarily a big 3 fan?

Another Olympic gold is pretty sweet. It was painful against Fognini and Johnson, and the final was a lot more dramatic than expected, although that actually made it a lot better. 3 slams and 2 Olympic golds is a hell of a legacy.

Yep, Murray is now building a legit incredible CV. IMO his aim has to be 50 Titles, 15 Masters, 5 Grand Slams, 1 week at No.1 and a WTF.

Amazing few months.

Along with his emergence on clay and the Davis Cup, the recent successes have been huge for the Murray legacy. People knock the Olympics, but you only have to look at the reactions of the players to see that they mean a heck of a lot to the best guys. Djokovic - tears, Nadal - tears, Del Potro - tears, Murray - tears. Winning 2 golds in succession is a phenomenal feat, even if it wasn't the most spectacular run this time.

Well thank fuck for that lads...

Even if he doesn't medal now, the prospect of losing not once, but twice to fucking Fabio Fognini whilst representing GB would've been utterly unforgiveable.

Re: M.Muzza.M Chat

Nice that he gets this after all he's been through since Wimbledon 2013.

Would like him to get one of the following before he hangs the racquets up: an AO, an RG, or at least one week as the world #1. That would top it all off.

Re: M.Muzza.M Chat

He's reached the final of the last 5 events he's played, and won 3 titles, a slam, a masters and a 500

And he's become the Queens GOAT too, awesome time to be a Murray fan.

Re: M.Muzza.M Chat

So he'll break 10,000 points now, I think.... that's some total. He may never have been #1, but I don't think that's a stick anyone can beat him with, considering this era. Maybe there will be a window of opportunity at some point.

Even though I had my doubts at times, I was generally upbeat through 2014 - always thought he'd be back, always thought he had another one in him. Funnily enough I think the IW/MI double this year was the most pessimistic I've ever been. And since that point his results have been fantastic. Really have enjoyed his emergence as a clay force. That win over Wawrinka was a belter.

Funny how things work out!

After the surgery, I wasn't sure how long I'd have to wait to see him lift another big one.. Thought it would be AO, but in many ways this is perfect.

Andy is clearly the best grass player in the world at the moment. So chuffed to post here after a GS win rather than another runner up result. And Wimbly the big one at that.

Priorities should remain the same... Chase Djokovic and keep trying to crash his party at the top. Only like 900 points behind on the race, so we're looking good.
