The Djokovic camp opted to adjust his serve because his shoulder was seriously bothering him. Even if he were to leave it alone, it probably would have been screwed.

This debate is a very short-sighted one. There are plenty of other notorious player/coach combinations.

Currently, does anyone feel like Roger Rasheed is adding anything to Dimitrov's game?

I personally didn't care for Stefanki's work with Henman, and Larry is otherwise a great coach.

And let's not forget Dean Goldfine's outstanding job of turning Roddick from a big hitter to a failed Rafael Nadal clone.

Todd Martin was a nobody who wanted to coach a legend in the making. He tried to make a slam runner up out of a slam champion and he failed. I am glad Nole came into his senses.

With that I agree. It came as a blessing in disguise. The suffering he went through when he lost his serve forced him to be a better player overall. He had to put the extra hard work not to lose his place in the ATP. It was an extremely hard thing to do. I admire him more for his 2010 season than the following one. That's when he showed what he is made of. It must have not been easy for him.

Yeah and when everyone gets mono, they all get the same severity just like when everyone gets a flu they all get the same severity and just like when people get cancer they all have the same severity of cancer. Clownish response. Just because you don't have a certain ailment as bad as someone else definitely does not mean you didn't get it. Apparently none of Federer's hater's on this forum ever get sick or when they do, they are out of work for 12 months each time.

He blinked in the 2007 US Open final. Fed couldn't wait to tell him how brutal he lost to his brilliant self.
Djoker was hungry after the 2008-9 lapse period. Media & players' hatred actually brought him more wisdom.

Novak Djokovic needed to find himself and what worked best for him during his struggles in 2009, to truly blossom into the elite player he is today.

Re: If Djokovic didn't have the Todd Martin debacle

I know Todd Martin truly "experimented" (messed up more accurate) with Djokovic's serve, but wasn't he having issues prior to his appointment? Didn't he change his racquet sponsor in '09, therefore his racquet? That would have taken some time to get used to surely.
