it's like a race to see who is 'least bad'

the fact is, an injured nadal and an aging frauderer is showing the cracks

beyond djokovic and murray, the field is mostly dire
Ferrer is doing great, also Delpo, Berdych, Tsonga... the problem is that those ahead of them are just too good for anybody. This would happen in this era or any other.

Agassi became number 1 with the WORLD RECORD SERVER Roddick in the draws. Then "goat" Federer waited until Dick became number 1 after ferrero lost early in the autumn and months after Dick lamely celebrated his win over injured nalbandian.

Don't forget Tipsarevic is only a substitute, if Rafa were healthy and (reasonably) in form it would've been a different story

Expected. Clownga would rather eat crumpets and drink tea rather than play tennis

Nole looked like he didn't have his head at the game At least he won in straight sets but he must raise his game against Murray

However losing the 1st set was tough, it was still only a set, yet at the start of the 2nd Tsonga was pretty much packing and ready to leave.
