Re: Lance Armstrong finally banned for doping

french journalists ridiculed themselves as touting Armstrong as an example of a great and brave champion, Gérard Holtz, Patrick Chêne and co look pretty shitty now.

I've been over this before. The fact that he did good (I'm not counting fighting cancer, only suicidal people wouldn't do that.., but his fund has done good for people), does not have an affect on him being guilty. If you seriously find all this ridiculous, I suggest you read up, it all has to do with techniques that weren't available back then, and are now, and with building a gigantic case...with alot of evidence. He's guilty alright, or mr. fighter would not have thrown the towel.

I have suspicion of which tennis players are doping.

It is just so impossible to ignore.

It was found out after many years only because of manipulation. Would you excuse a serious crime just because the perpetrator made it difficult for the investigators? Difficult enough to uncover the truth only after several years? And if you think this is not serious, look at the amount of money at stake.

Re: Lance Armstrong finally banned for doping

I think we can now begin to put to bed what has been a troubling era for cycling.

I'm not deluded, doping will never go away, but such a story as this just proves that the testers, no matter if it takes 1 year, 5 years or 10 years, will do their utmost to catch the dopers, and they will get them very often.

Not that I want to defend Armstrong... but do you have evidence for those 6 positive EPO tests for Armstrong?
