Yep, that is why Inconsistentrinka has played "just" five 5-setters in the last five HC slams, four 5-setters against Djokovic and the fifth against USO'14 finalist who beat Djokovic the next round.

Maybe more consistent Wawrinka would have played four 8-setters 21-19 in the fifth against Djokovic, instead of just 9-7 and 10-12 6-setters Stanimal/Djokovic at AO and two other ordinary 5-setters at USO.

If Wawrinka had not been always placed in Djokovic half at AO/USO since AO'13 but at Fedal', he would have made at least four HC slam finals in the last five, instead of just one.

So, the only question is: will they rig USO/AO again for Fedal so that every contender and dark horse lands in Djokovic/Stanimal' half again, and none or just one in Fedal'?

And, of course, I was just joking, it was not the question at all, no.

Federer drops to World No. 3

How will this affect him this USO? Not that he has a chance to win it all, but now we are guaranteed a Djoko-Murray final unless someone saves us from that. Wawrinka is inconsistent as hell, Nishikori is always injured, Fed is old and can't repeat any Goderer performances, Nadal is declined etc.

Congrats to Murray though. Will he prove he's a World No.2 or fall 0-9 to Djokovic since their Wimbledon final?

Except this time, both are correct, but live-tennis.eu is "more" correct for this discussion.

The MTF post predicts the ranking for tomorrow which only include 7 mandatory masters, so Murray counts extra 180 points from Beijing.

But the seeding for US Open will be based on the ranking of next week which will include the usual 8 mandatory masters, so Murray will not count the 180. Federer only has 18 tournaments right now, so will not lose any points tomorrow.

But this discussion is almost meaningless anyway.

50% chance that after the draw we immediately see that it did not really matter who of those two was #2.

Even if #3 will get Djokovic SF in the draw, there is still a resonable chance that Federer and or Murray don't make the SF. I'd estimate about 50% for each, so we are already down to 25% chance of this issue mattering.

Then there is the chance that #3 will actually beat Djokovic in the SF, or that Djokovic does not make the SF.

We are left with less than 20% that three weeks from now we will see a "if Murray/Federer was seeded #2 everything would have been different" thread.

Love how people on MTF confuse stats and facts with personal subjective opinions.
Special offer: I'll pay for any debate classes you guys want to take. Seriously.

As demonstrated in the GOATbis match, Novak is a disgusting pusher, more disgusting than prime Simon.
Perhaps he is the most effective player on tour, but his tennis is so robotic that he cannot even use an MRI machine.

You're welcome.

Yes i think they are just because no one challenge them!
Fed has his problems and Nadal has his own and i start to think that they are paid to be there not because they want. Who declines like that if he has no motivation or passion to be there ?! We are talking here for world class top athletes. Did you see how Federer play against Murray at Wimbledon or other his matches? He was amazing ! And all at once he forget how to play tennis in Final???? Just watch Murray/Djokovic to see how many times Murray will break Djokovic'serve. Then you could see how many opportunity Murray had on Fed'serve games at Wimbledon. I mean SF was great great match and F was BS from both players !

Agassi was plagued by many injuries. Even though he had had longer breaks from the game, therefore less mileage until 30 overall, his body became fragile and injury-prone after 2004.
While Federer has had only 1 (one!) injury-ridden season, 2013. Out of like 17?
He managed his body better than most all-time-greats before him. Maybe Connors was the only exception.
