New year.
The first title came in the 2nd month, when Jo won Marseille by defeating Tomas Berdych in the final 3-6 7-6(6) 6-4

ALLEZ, JO!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well guys. I have decided to create a brand new thread about the StrongaWagon. Who needs to be revived like in the good-old times.
2011... A year of surprises. Tsonga getting strong again, putting the so called "Duopoly" under his strong arm and punching 'em like Ali.

The Ali of tennis is back. He's just a deserved top 10 again, 2011 is the new 2008.
He's the only player that the "big 4" fear.
He's the only one who can stop the non-slam-france.

He's waving the french flag again, and this time, there's no mercy.

They fear him... And they're right doing it.

Solid performance in the Metz final. Best wishes to him for the rest of the season :yeah:

I'm ok with the Beijing final, I mean he played a great 1st set and lost to the world number 2, come on!
Pretty amazing.

Now, he's in QF of Shanghai, Berdych will be his rival, COME ON TSONGA!!!!!

I can see him making semis, and, if he has a good day, even the final! :D

He won all 3 singles matches in straight sets but lost all three mixed doubles matches. Unfortunately France had to retire from the final match with Tsonga injured, hopefully it's not too bad and just precautionary as he seems to be finding some form that evaded him pretty much all of last year.

His performance today was the most telling imo that he has indeed improved some aspects of his game, as Anderson has played really well. Namely the RoS which would have allowed Jo to win this match more comfortably hadn't Kevin been so good at picking up those low balls. Hopefully this small injury can go away fast. I think he is ready to win a slam.

Not sure what to make of that result. I missed the match and it sounded like he has improved a lot and the better player/should have won. As long as he's making progress and does better in the Masters this year then he has a chance. Wimbledon will always be his best chance of good results as far as Slams go.

Jo WOn 76 (4) 76 (0). was down a Double break in the second set 4-0 but came back and won it and was perfect in the second set tiebreaker winning all 7 points. next is Raonic he going have too pick it a level.

Awful match by Jo lost 6-3 6-1 made tons of Errors really gifting Djoko the match, anyway they said before the match started that he had a slight injury with his leg I think. It sad because he one player I really wanna see breakthrough

I'm in in the Strongawagon because tomorrow evening I'd be considered as a gloryhunter if Jo wins.

Jo playing his best clay tennis and Rafa far from his best, massive chance for Jo.
