Lopez is a strong contender. He just hits the ball without any plan whatsoever.

Re: Most tactically stupid player on tour?

I'd say there are many tactically stupid players, mostly ballbashers, L.Mayer, Chardy, Gulbis,Rosol etc., but also youngsters which haven't got the routine of the top players Djokovic,Murray,Nadal,Federer, the youngsters can improve their tactics, but the ballbashers will always ballbash and won't change anything

His close matches are due to his opponent playing just a little bit better, that's all. Haas isn't anywhere near the best tactician, but he's NOWHERE near the worst.

Also, edit your signature. Murray's won 2 slams already.

Haas is one of the best tactical players in the world.

Re: Most tactically stupid player on tour?

Tommy Haas is a good ball hitter but he is not a tactical wizard. He plays as if the sun was the ball and has no idea that an error can ever happen.

....though even in comics there are more characters than 4.

Re: Most tactically stupid player on tour?

top 5: Fed

50-100: Harrison, Monfils, Donald Young

Retired: Roddick (pathetic how Larry Stefanki, Jimmy Connors & Roddick had to admit that Roddick had little talent or fitness and that it was futile to
hope that no one noticed he tried to hide his mental illness).

I haven't seen enough Janowicz matches to judge, but goddamn....his attention to dropshots vs. Federer has got to be up there on the list. heh

this is 100 percent correct, federers gameplan vs nadal on clay is to hit passive backhands cross court to nadals forehand, slice to nadals forehand, hit the slowest approach shot possible into the middle of the court to make it as comfortable for nadal to pass him as possible. hit drop shots when there not on. either go for too much or too little with his forehand. and generally forgets how to play tennis. please if there is any justice federer will be spared any more matches against nadal unless its indoors or at the very least quick hardcourt or halle/wimbledon where he wont be embarressed by nadal
