I never thought Fed would ever be out of top 10. I'm so heartbroken. So many records ending because of an injury.

Could stay top-10 until WTF points fall off, 3130 points would be enough today. But of course it makes little difference, he's alraedy 2nd and won't reach Connors regardless.

At least he's guaranteed of taking the consecutive weeks in the top-100 and the top-50. First one will happen this year, the other early next year. Top-25 will be the only consecutive one undecided, he'll definitely stay in it for 2016 and then we'll see in 2017.

He should stay top-10 after USO, since he's got both Basel win and 1000 points from the WTF.

Well Federer cannot break Connors record at top10 (cons.) anymore as it seems. If he stays out from the rest of the season he will be out of top10 after USO I guess.

Should be close to 100 weeks i guess.
At present he's got:

Code:
Top 2	0
Top 3	23
Top 4	100
Top 5	112
Top 8	135
Top 10	188
Top 25	408
Top 50	518
Top 100	587

Nadal has been at No. 4 the last couple weeks, but is not being updated.

Re: Fed stats - with most weeks in top-2, 3, 5 and 10

Federer has now been #3 in the world longer than anyone else except Connors and Edberg.

So he's #1 on the all time list for most time as #1, #2 on the list for most time as #2 (behind Nadal) and #3 on the list for most time as #3. Nice and symmetrical.

After Berdych managed to briefly sneak into the top-4 last year Tsonga leads this category comfortably. Berdych is of course the record holder for most weeks in the top 8 but never top 3. He's actually got the record for most weeks as #6 and the record for most weeks as #7.

Here are the record holders, most weeks as:

#1 Federer 302
#2 Nadal 262
#3 Connors 201 (unofficial, could be a bit higher or lower. Highest official Edberg 166)
#4 Murray 181
#5 Ferrer 128
#6 Berdych 113
#7 Berdych 129
#8 Agassi 76
#9 Gasquet 67
#10 Tsonga 69

Federer (1-3) Connors (1-3), Lendl (1-3) and Becker (2-4) are the only ones to have 100+ weeks in three different positions. Djokovic has a good chance of joining the club sooner or later if he can get three more weeks as #2 when he finally steps down from #1.

who else of the active players have been in the top four?

The ones i can come up with (in order of first week in the top four):

  • David Ferrer (2008-02-25) (61 weeks)
  • Juan Martin del Potro (2010-01-11) (6 weeks)
  • Kei Nishikori (2015-03-02) (3 weeks)
  • Milos Raonic (2015-05-11) (1 week)
  • Tomas Berdych (2015-05-18) (3 weeks)

Hope i got the numbers right.

Tsonga is a leader in this nomination by a huge margin, if i am not mistaken. There is actually another thread with the stats of all top-tenners up to the start of this season: http://www.menstennisforums.com/2-ge...op-10-etc.html
