Adams is actually one of the top American juniors and he shares a coach with Ryan Harrison (Grant Doyle). His itf junior ranking is low b/c he doesn't play a lot of itf tournaments. A lot of American juniors don't play itfs, but instead focus on USTA events. I don't see Kozlov getting past Adams tbh. Like out_here_grindin said, Adams is a lot more advanced and he is also a lot bigger and stronger than Stefan.
USA futures events at the start of the year are always strong enough, but as the year goes on, their level is really low sometimes. Last week not one player belonged in the quarterfinal of a futures event. This time two 14 year olds against each other and the winner gets Adams
I wouldn't be surprised! He conducted himself very well on court, and found a way around the big difference in presence and stature, when I saw him. Looked very competent for somebody of his age.

I know how you feel . Hopefully, they will develop him well and not rush things. One thing for sure though, he has a lot of heart and determination that Donald lacks.
Agreed, it is a shame that they drew each other. Instead of getting experience with older players, they ended up against someone whom they played and practiced with on many occasions. Same situation with Alexander Zverev drawing his brother at the Dallas Challenger .
Kozlov wont be a tall player, if he grows to be 1.80 it might not be tall enought in modern tennis but he seems more destined to be around 1.75 or something. He is not behind hitting puberty like some videos of him 13-years old has shown but he is late in the growing spur.
His game might look like Tomic or Young, lacks aggressiveness to dominate. I dont know how far the kid can go, certanly there will be open room for anyone trying to break throught in 4-5 years but I dont think he has it in him to dominate the tour, at the very best something like Hewitt is his fullfilled potential.
