Tsonga has done amazingly well for himself. From being a well overweight guy who struggled to crack the top 100 and be relevant to being a top 5 player in the world with that backhand speaks volumes about how much stride hes made, and theres no guarantee that the weight loss will win a slam, he might just not be good enough.

But shedding pounds and changing his diet would definitely help Jo Willy to not get hurt as much as he does and it would have made a difference in Paris this year for sure.
Wilfred is 27,this is about your maximum peak!Dont think Tsonga can shed that much wait,if he did it wouldnt be much cos you cant over do it!Things are working for him just fine, maybe abit more fitness and it will be the difference from make to break!I think Wilfred's main problem is the attacking backhand,if he could improve on that then all the pieces adds up with big serve, movement, volley! He would love to have a Joker/Nadal/Murray/ backhand!

I tend to agree with this. Breaking down against Djokovic 2011/12 is nothing to be ashamed of. He essentially broke down NADAL of all people in Melbourne, so I don't think thats quite the issue.

But Tsonga would definitely benefit in multiple ways from probably dropping about 10 pounds. Its no coincidence that the top 3 guys in the world are nowhere near 200 pounds (and they're all basically just as tall as Tsonga).

Tsonga being not enough fit to win long match, 5-setter ?! Fact tell us another story.

Tsonga played total 12 5-setters on slams:
8 wins, 4 losses.

This includes destroying Djokovic in 5th set of AO QF 2010 6-1 and spanking Federer in last year Wimby from two sets to love down.Fact that he couldnt last 5- set grinding marathon on clay vs Djoko, is irrelevant here, grass is not clay.

And BTW, I dont think that BG or anyone else here who has sane mind, make his bets based on who he likes or hates. I for example cant stand Nadull, but if I think he has good chance for upset or if he is overpriced fav( like in Monte Carlo this year), I have no problems to back him.
I think the "fit" comment was based moreso on the fact that he got hurt in Queens and was having back problems, which has been a problem in the past, agaisnt Fish.

Fed/Joker Yes Tie brk 1.45/Mugrray/Wilfred Yes Tie brk 1.45 @ 2.10 - At worse Andy in straight set with a tie brk, same with Joker!

Fed 1st set winner 2.50 - Small backbet on Joker 7-6(5.50) -Fed's matches is like HOT/COLD/HOT/COLD/HOT!

Grass on the other hand is whole different matter. If it goes into fifth, I dont expect Murray to have any big fitness advantage over Jo, then it all depends how players mind works and who blinks first on his serve.

But no need to argue here further. After few hours we know what happened on Centre Court, who came through and who failed to do so.
Good point indeed, but I have my doubts (albeit not as much anymore )

Good luck and have a great weekend everyone!
