I think this is legit sadly. He's been pulled out of his fight with Diaz. such a shame. Dana will be pissed Mcgregor makes the UFC the most money along with Ronda Rousey.

There's rumours that he's heading to the WWE.

Is Conor McGregor heading to WWE? "Retired" UFC star follows Shane McMahon and Triple H on Twitter - Mirror Online

+1

not a big loss. he went up 15 lbs (25 lbs from title weight) on a couple weeks notice to try to become the first ufc dual-weight champion. there's a reason why it's never been done before.

McGregor is a skilled fighter but too much of an attention whore for me personally.

Defense ? He only lost the fight.

So I think this will be pretty minor in terms of his career actually. If anything I hope he gets more humble and respects the opponent, even when he's dominating. Showboating is what got Anderson Silva dropped off the top perch, Conor should learn from that.

We could/should probably merge this threa with the MMA thread @Litotes ?

Thanks, I guess she needed that submission in the end, I still think Tate should've finished her off in the 2nd, if this match finished and Holm won then Tate would've saw this as her chance.

Look at what Holm's coaches said here. They were totally right about Tate being a more dangerous match-up for Holm than Ronda.

"And you know, it only takes one wrong move in this sport to lose everything"

So true. This reminds of Conor's fuckery He should know this very well.
It's funny because Tate is a worse match for Holm than Ronda but Ronda is a worse match for Tate than Holm and Holm is a much worse match for Ronda than tate, it's like a bloody Rock paper scissors where they cancel eachother out.

Will be interesting to see what happens when Ronda fights Tate again, she's owned tate in her previous fights but Tate has improved so much since then and might have a chance this time. Ronda's still going to want a rematch with Holm though whether she's champ or not, she doesn't want a 0-1 on her record against anyone.

At least he was very respectful in defeat.

That wasn't a fight for the title, he won't defend anything.
Diaz brothers are such a great warriors, always love watching them fight, it's very hard to finish them.
