Yesterday WOWOW (that Japanese broadcaster) showed a mini, Wimbledon warm-up program (about 5 minutes in all). They showed a few seconds from Kei's exhibition match vs Fish and also interviewed Kei. He said he's happy to be back and glad he could play without any problem, but he also showed the side of his belly which still looked a bit red. Hope he's really OK...
He practiced with Robin Haase yesterday.
He said the injury is 90% healed, he no longer feels any pain but still feels some stiffness in the left side of the abdomen, which he thinks will be better day by day.
Kei is 3-0 vs Kukushkin, but he said all the matches they played were pretty tough. He'a aware he lacks match practice and expects another tough one.
Hey Rafkei!
I had to run from office! Missed the first couple of games.
It seems Kei started tight and nervous but managed to raise his game in time, while Kuku started making more UEs.
Now Dante is being interviewed in the stand and he said he's glad he won the first set because Kei started like 50% of his abilities but then he got better and better.
nice...thanks for that update Bunny, im glad Kei was able to recover from that nervous start. I think were all very much used to Kei having a bad start and then he recovers
