Yesterday WOWOW (that Japanese broadcaster) showed a mini, Wimbledon warm-up program (about 5 minutes in all). They showed a few seconds from Kei's exhibition match vs Fish and also interviewed Kei. He said he's happy to be back and glad he could play without any problem, but he also showed the side of his belly which still looked a bit red. Hope he's really OK...

1st match on Court 14! (TV court)
Good luck, Kei! :yeah:

He practiced with Robin Haase yesterday.
He said the injury is 90% healed, he no longer feels any pain but still feels some stiffness in the left side of the abdomen, which he thinks will be better day by day.
Kei is 3-0 vs Kukushkin, but he said all the matches they played were pretty tough. He'a aware he lacks match practice and expects another tough one.

Thanks for the updates everyone!

The game just started, Kei held with a few good serves that Kukushkin failed to return.

Just came home and Kei trails *2-4...maybe his lack of match practice is showing. Don't rush, Kei! Take your chances!

#9 ·
Good hold of serve, with some nice FH winners. 3-4*

Famous Japanese comedian Takaaki Ishibashi, a big Kei fan, is in the stand watching Kei.

#11 ·
4-4!! :yippee:

Kei is winning a lot of points on his first serve, but less than 50% on his second serve. He needs the first serve and things will go his way!
5-4*

Hey Rafkei! :wavey:
I had to run from office! Missed the first couple of games.
It seems Kei started tight and nervous but managed to raise his game in time, while Kuku started making more UEs.

Now Dante is being interviewed in the stand and he said he's glad he won the first set because Kei started like 50% of his abilities but then he got better and better.

15-40! Nice return!

Another nice dtl return and an overhead smash do the job. :)

7-5!!

#20 ·
Very aggressive approach and BP for Kei!

#21 ·
FH winner and BP #2!

#22 ·
Wow! Drop shot + pass combo. Kei breaks! :yeah:
Very Kei point. :)

2-0*

Kei is on the groove but he must be careful not to do just a show-off of flashy winners...

But that BH volley was simply beautiful!

#24 ·
Wait... did he injure his knee? Please not again...

#25 ·
He suddenly bended over and talked to the umpire.
Then he went on to serve. Hope it's nothing.

BP for Kuku...

#26 ·
Kuku breaks back.

2-1* Mmmmm

#27 ·
Kei took off the sock off his right foot.
