the last grass season he did not do quite well, did he?
And actually there were only two really comfortable solid big wins on grass - Stan in Queens and Andy in Wimbledon.
Although I liked the win vs Alex the best, it was a dog fight and could have went both ways.
The same with the final in Queens. We need more solid wins against top 20 instead of scrapping.

Grass benefited Grigor very well. I think we can safely say it is his best surface now (slice BH, slice/block returns, placement, variation, plus his Novak like defense).

Let's not count our chickens until they are hatched. One of the guys below him like Murray, Isner or Nishikori could have a deep run at one of the Masters events and overtake him. He needs to train hard after his holiday and come back believing he can climb even higher in the rankings.

It was some time during the 1st or 2nd set if anyone wants to go back and watch the match.

Great to see Grigor moving up the rankings and hopefully finishing in the top 10. I don't think he is playing again until Washington because he is taking time off to test a larger racquet. Hopefully that goes well because he can pick up a lot of points in Canada and US Open. Del Potro will also start to drop at that time so there is a good opportunity for him to continue to rise.
