Very happy to see this trash of an episode is getting roasted by most reviewers on IMDb.
How long can even sheeple keep lauding mediocrity? Eventually they wake up

The intense circlejerk however continues on the GoT subreddit.

Re: HBO game of thrones - anyone watching?

Massive disappointment this episode for me. The entire episode is ruined by the idiocy of the plan but they didn't even execute the Army of the Dead well for the first time. Hardhome and The Door were simply phenomenal but this time around it was meh for me. Totally anti-climatic.

The interactions between the 7 before encountering the dead particularly between the Hound and Tormund were great but otherwise a huge let down. About time Jon decided to show a Mormont that he has their family sword.

Arya & Sansa scenes don't even make sense. Arya's position makes no sense. She has gone from being one of my favorite characters through the first 4 seasons to being one of the worst over the last three.

Condensing the season from 10 to 7 episodes was a huge mistake and the writing has been really lazy. Hopefully the next episode will begin to right the ship but I have great doubts. Seems showrunners are more interested in completing the series and taking short cuts to do so then to actually make things coherent and logical.

I'm rewatching season 1.

- They traveled very quickly already back then. Half of episode from Winterfell to the Wall, half of episode to the King's Landing by Cat. But she's coming back already like for 2 episodes and she's still mid-way

I don't think it's ever been an issue... I guess people only started to take notice when they dragged some journeys to crazy lengths when they were supposed to give screen time to characters.

- Cersei's son with Robert was born alive. He died of fever and is now in the crypt. So she's had already 4 children Why did they show later that prophecy that she'd have 3?

- Sam was twice less fat at the beginning than he is now.

- Arya was exactly the same thing she is now, character-wise, and her attitude towards Sansa is totally identical. And already from the very beginning several minutes of each episode are wasted on Arya training. (I think she was the most interesting in Tywin's castle. But Tywin was also a very charismatic character)

- The dialogue was not great in the first two episodes at all. Actually it was quite tedious and boring. Every sentence had either "bastard" or "dwarf" in it (or both). The success of first episodes was based on.... emotion. The ultimate thing for scriptwriters ever. Based on children drama (including 16 yo Jon and pure innocent Danaerys) and animal drama. Plus the whole world and setting was interesting. But there was always something happening to some child or direwolf in a crucial moment. Yes, viewers are that simple. It's in every basic scriptwriting or novel writing guide.

Dialogue got better on, but also not all the time. Good dialogues typically go with either politically smartest and physically strongest characters and it's like this up until now. So once Cersei got one on one with Jofferey or one on one with Ned, or when Hound or Benjen talked, or when Littlefinger was on screen it was interesting. Even Jaime talking with Ned was *plz fastforward this Kingslayer / your father got burned shit*
Agreed for the most part. I did watch some of the early season episodes recently too. People are romanticizing and overrating early seasons comparing to 6 and 7. Budget was noticeably smaller, and there are similar "issues" people are complaining about now.

Disagree about Arya though. They were really kids back then and her attitude towards Sansa was normal siblings rivalry. She is completely unreasonable, irrational and annoying now. Not sure where they are going with her character.

I wouldn't bother watching this one though. It will be an average, forgettable fantasy series.
Good riddance. At least will not have to listen to your unreasonable and shallow whining and bitching.

Are you talking about E6?

It was pretty good actually, but I knew you would hate it.
Anyone who wants forced, artificial, unnatural, bad, but "unpredictable" and "not cliche" ending will be "disappointed". And I am glad you will be.
Good story telling is more important than your fetish.

This being said, the episode has some holes and could have been better if not rushed to pack 10 episodes into 7, but nothing too bad.

There is no need for greensight to know the ending, it was already leaked. And now it's the moment I wish you good fortune in the spoilers to come.

The show ends with the fight for dawn between a reanimated Daenerys (riding Balerion) and Bran (wearing Arya's face and riding the Dragon of Bear Islands). While Nathalie Emannuel makes sweet sweet love with an unidentified male (Worm?) in the background. GRRM claimed the ending is bittersweet, and since the sweet part was already hinted you can figure out the outcome of the fight. Or the bitter part it might be related to the amount of milk of the poppy we'll have to ingest just to get through the last seasons.

HBO game of thrones - anyone watching?

Fuck this! Another stupid episode.

It was obvious that Dany and her 3 dragons would be too much for any side including white walkers so GoT team did everything to make it balanced, now 1 of the dragons became blue just to save 6-7 men who were there steal a walker LOL. Stupidest shit ever. Really come on.

omg thanks Pratik

She can have children when sun rises in the west and sets in the east In fantasy such things can happen

It's the more annoying with speeding up that sometimes these fight scenes are like on fast forward either bad cinematography, CGI or directing... it clearly shows they have big budget, but not unlimited...

Yes I can see how some of Daenerys' scenes could be annoying to some people, but her good scenes/side greatly overweight her bad ones.

Agreed about Arya, but as said, she is currently annoying and acts unreasonably IMO.
And about Tyrion too.

Did you notice how they emphasized that Daenerys can't have kids anymore. I wonder if that would be the excuse to let the Jonerys incest happen?

And yes. Everything is happening way too fast. It is obvious they crunched 10 episodes into 7.

For Nathaliia. So is Daenerys still the mad queen, same as Cersei? Can't wait to see what would all those petty Dany haters say now? She coming to the rescue was the best scene ever. And that white coat looks too good on her.

Arya annoys me a lot now. Acting like a jerk. I am all #TeamSansa in Winterfell now. Although she was unnecessary rude to Brienne.

Tyrion was annoying too I must say. Good thing Daenerys didn't listen to him.

A great episode, but was somewhat spoiled for me, just like the whole season. Although some nice surprises. Takes a bit away from it sadly.

Timing was off for real in this episode though. That ice took a long time to freeze again for sure.

Will not say more for now.

I also rewatched some of the old episodes now. Danaerys has moments of absolute brilliance and smart remarks, and moments when she behaves like a painfully spoiled 12 yo.

This was definitely her good episode I knew she would be necessary for the whitewalkers, but I am glad we didn't need to hear another story about being Danaerys Stormborn, Mother of Dragons, Breaker of Chains, Queen of the Andals and the First Men blah blah. She was a hero and she saved the day.

I also noticed how quickly they all suddenly believed after Bran's letter. It was a bit too sped-up. Bran is a crippled child for all they know. The maesters also gave it a serious discussion instead of just ignoring. I guess it's just the plot armor, that the story needs to wrap up at the end of the show / book.

I didn't expect Dany to happen so early, I thought we'd be dragged through all these Queen of Andals lines yet for half of the next season. I expected Bran to do something here.

But I *totally* expected Uncle Benjen (who I think was half undead himself... certainly there was something magical to him and even his face is incredibly pale. It was already fan-mentioned when he saved Bran). It was also a hilarious scene... out of all things you'd expect to help you out, you see a long time lost family member )

Tyrion is horribly annoying and gives a lot of failed advice in this season especially that I went through previous seasons, even when he was already with Dany, the contrast was huge. I hope they can bring back some glory.

As I wrote on TF, Arya took some Waif's traits She's never liked Sansa and always had disdain for her, and now, when she grew strong, she's playing it out on her a lot. I think this is going somewhere after all, I think they'll work together against Littlefinger at the end of the day or something. And Arya's assassin skills will have to be used on something.

I've never liked Sansa, but she has matured so much. I'm quite sure Arya is spot on how old Sansa's desires to rule and wear pretty clothes are not gone, but she is generally smarter now about a lot of things, for example - how to behave.
