Making a thread on Bernard Tomic as he makes his junior Grand Slam debut at the 2007 aussie open.

Congrats Bernard, he has made major strides in the last two years. Some beleive he is ahead of Lleyton Hewitt at the same age.

I suspect him to turn pro in the next two years and be playing Davis Cup not long after.

Watched a lot of the match.
Stab myself...
That was so bad to watch.
Maybe the wind caused it but... so boring.
And on match point - just pushed it back until Giraldo won the point. Oh dear.

Well done on getting the win though.

Tomic played alright from what i saw, good on him for keeping up with Djokovic mostly...love watching him vs the top players, he forces himself to go for his shots  and its a beaty to watch. It was also good to see some slides aswell, havent seen any of them untill now :) goodluck in Nice nextweek Bernie and hopefully we can see a win or two there before heading off to Paris :yeah:

He will be seeded for Roland Garros but Wimbledon is still unknown.

I think a low seed for Tomic at RG is as good as any seed for him. All seeds have the same draw (pre draw probability wise) up to round 3. I don't expect Tomic to get past round three so all is good. The main thing is that he avoids all other 31 seeds up to round 3.

Apparently it's true according to the media. Broke up over a month ago. Tomic needs to put in as much time and effort as he can into his tennis to actually do what he's capable of and I don't think being with a blonde chicky is gonna help....
