Re: News & Articles Part 3 - The Return of the Yeti

Marat did an interview earlier in December with Sport 360 about his current political career (they did ask him the big question: why, to which his reply was: "Good question.... Why not?"

I wish I knew! According to the match schedule they are playing in Delhi today and tomorrow, and thereafter twice in Dubai and once (final match on 18 December) in Singapore.

It seems likely his political commitments are over for the year. The annual presidential address was on 03 December, and obviously Marat was in Japan, so he's footloose and fancy-free until mid-January or so.

Wow, the Warriors finally won their first match of the tournament. PH Herbert clinched it v. Berdych, and in mixed dubs too. So Marat has finally got his revenge, albeit by рrохy, for Shanghai 2009.

Seems Marat picked up a calf injury, and will miss the next day (or more?) of play for Japan Warriors. Via Twitter.

Good things come in small packages! Kurumi Nara has just beaten Serena Williams in Kobe.

Marat: "She doesn't know, but she's my girlfriend now."

I don't know what expect about Marat's performance in IPTL. I'm not surprise with Chang winning the match because Chang still Work in tennis while Marat almost never touch a racquet. Anyway, I hope at least we have the chance to remember a little bit his goods shots.

Re: News & Articles Part 3 - The Return of the Yeti

Don't know if this was mentioned anywhere else on site. I was wondering why Marat seemed to be getting back into "tennis shape" lately. According to this article, he will now be playing in the IPTL. Maybe this is old news - I don't know. I thought I would mention just in case.
