Yes Richard, tell Forget to just play his favorites - Tsonga and Llodra for singles
Getting intersting now for France but still think whoever plays (except Tsonga and Llodra as singles), France has a great chance. Isner, Harrison and the B Brothers are really handicapped on clay (i STILL can't believe Isner beat Fed on clay and think Isner will never do something like that again - which probably just assured that he will).
I THINK I read on RG net (I think, since my French is so bad and Google translate isn't much better) that Forget said he only selected 4 this time because basicaly he didn't want to undermine the confidence of the singles players (ie. Tsonga). Either Forget is crazy OR maybe no else (Richard/Gilles) was willing to go - doubt that's the case but wouldn't it be funny if Forget now has to BEG.

You understood perfectly correct. Maybe Richard refused to come in order not to undermine the other players' confidence. He just gives everything for the team. :haha:
Re: Official Gasquet's 2012 Schedule (Monte Carlo- 16/04/2012)
Hmmmm, I thought he would of picked Gasquet. I'm sure Forget doesn't have faith in Gasquet. Simon's back was troubling him in Miami and he would of needed rest therefore the logical choice would of been picking Gasquet. Anyway, Allez France!
Re: Official Gasquet's 2012 Schedule (Monte Carlo- 16/04/2012)
GIlles, WOW! either Richard said "no" or Forget has lost his marbles (I'm picking the latter). Simon certainly doesn't have any better DC history than Richard, Gilles is no where near as good on clay as Richard AND his back was a problem in Miami - WTF???
I'm glad Richard is out of that mess (sorry Gilles) but Forget says the pick was obvious because Richard's elbow is hurting and can't go 5 sets - THAT is TROUBLESOME IF true???
For the second wild-card we are negotiating with Richard Gasquet (17 ATP) and Stanislas Wawrinka (29 ATP) and, depending on their performance at the tournament in Monte Carlo, we should reach a decision. So, we might even have the fifth player in Top 22 at the tournament.” said Bogdan Enoiu in the conference today.
Re: Official Gasquet's 2012 Schedule (Monte Carlo- 16/04/2012)
so glad that turned out to be a false alarm
I saw the second exchange - between Piatti , etc , after I posted the first here
thanks for the quick updates !
now - hope he plays well in Monte Carlo !
Re: Official Gasquet's 2012 Schedule (Monte Carlo- 16/04/2012)
glad to see Richard out there on the court preparing for Monte Carlo
note to Richard - if you used your own twitter account( that you started 3 months ago and never post on ) you could stop a lot of these rumors
just sayin
Re: Official Gasquet's 2012 Schedule (Monte Carlo- 16/04/2012)
With Richard on the Nice entry list, I don't think there's a reason for him to play Bucharest. If he accepts the WC, he is potentially playing 5 tournaments in 5 weeks and then the French Open.
Re: Official Gasquet's 2012 Schedule (Monte Carlo- 16/04/2012)
Confirmed by Piatti on his twitter!
Hopefully it's nothing serious, so it happened when he was playing football!
