A big mistake in my opinion, as he has ZERO points to defend so he should be out here trying to snag as many wins as possible. If he skips out on all the clay events and then slips up at Queens Club (where he has SF points to defend), there's a good chance he won't be seeded at Wimbledon.

Can't big agencies do anything better for their clients than get them wildcards that are counterproductive?

what a joke. imo, Ryan can't play on clay at this level yet.. would have been better for him to play qualies.

wasn't expecting anything better from this tournament anyway

You never know but it would be fantastic for Rubén! Moreover he's already 34 and he won't have many more chances...

Poor Andy If he's out, that means Ramos is in without needing a WC. Hopefully RRH takes his WC now, since he can't play qualies after being in CH semifinal this week.

Oh yes, I thought Fish was already taken out of the list.
So Ivo should be in

Mayve Kubot picked up a injury in Belgrade. Not sure with Niemenen as if he went to Madrid he would have played in MD. Maybe he want's to concentrate on this tournament he is playing in.

Roddick, Fish pull out of Madrid Masters
Quote:
Andy Roddick and Mardy Fish have pulled out next week’s Masters event in Madrid, the tournament announced. The 28th-ranked Roddick is still suffering from a hamstring injury in his right leg that's been bothering him since December, which also forced him to pull out of his match at the Australian Open against Lleyton Hewitt.

The ninth-ranked Fish simply chose not to sign into the mandatory tournament (players who qualified by rankings are automatically entered) and did not state a reason for doing so. He has recently cited overall fatigue as factor in his mediocre results this year.

Lukasz Kubot and Olivier Rochus will replace them in the draw.

Why is Kubot out? He would have gotten into the MD. Jarkko is still in Belgrade, but I don't see why that would matter since he would also be into the MD. Does anyone have any info on this?
