The most talented Serbian junior Filip Krajinovic (15) has advanced in the newest ITF list for players under 18 years of age for 129 places. After winning the tournament in El Paso he has climbed to 393rd place, which lead him one step closer from our best juniors Ilija Vucic and Dusan Lajovic who are already playing on professional tournaments.
The popular “Fica” has never lost a match in Serbia from players of his age or 1 year older. He has been the number 1 player of the state for a few years. His favourite player is Rodzer Federer. He uses “Wilson” racquets, he is right-handed, and he prefers backhands. He is the potential new Novak Djokovic.
So... the chubby Kellner beats him in three (3:6 7:6 4:6).
Taking into account his long absence from the tour, it's good that he's got couple of matches under the belt. Hope that the shoulder is pain-free... as for the rest, as they say - baby steps.
After seeing him play today, there is a lot in his game that could be criticized, but I would skip that at least till the summer months. Let him play and get some mileage in order to understand better where he really is.
Nothing coming up on the itf site in the results, or draw pages, but if you look in the head to head pages between bjelica and Krajinovic, it shows Fico as winning in Turkey F9 2012, so I assume MaratPure is right.
Great. 2nd seed he's just beaten too, so should have a chance to progress a bit further in this one. Wonder what his target is this year? Top 500?
Good play yesterday by Filip, had his head screwed on right for most of the time. Got an opportunity at the end of the first set, got aggressive and took it. Break and re-break at the beginning of the second set, some tight games after and DF Bjelica to give him the match.
Today, in an hour or so, against Alexander Sadecky (SUI). It's the second match of the day, hard court number 3. The guy is lefty and tall, plays with single-handed backhand. Ranks at 584 at the moment.
No idea. Wincomparator live scores don't work for his match because it got moved to another court and I'm trying to do some online shopping and match lurking at the same time... it doesn't really work.
Could be, Filip's body language is not so good, lot's of UE's as well. He broke, got broken back and whenever I check he is kind of giving easy points away.
Yeah, I checked it... too late... Was keeping an eye on court 3 while working but didn't think that the match would be moved.
