Re: THE BIG MATCH: rules and management thread

Update of Calendar ... 2 Masters Finals players are now known.

CALENDAR OF SEASON

1. April Tournament ==> Winner: kamui010
2. May Tournament ==> Winner: Marto
3. French Open ==> Winner: Cheeky Chick
4. Wimbledon Tournament ==> Winner: Hidalgo
5. June/July Tournament
6. July/August Tournament
7. US Open Tournament
8. September/October Tournament

Each tournament winner is qualified for Masters, which will take place here:

October/November: Masters

Masters tournament will be a tournament with winners of the season tournaments. If a player wins 2 tournaments, he will get a joker; if he wins 3 tournaments, he will get 2 ...

Master tournament will be based on rounds where the worse player for a round will be out. If a player has a joker, he can use his joker not to be out.

Re: THE BIG MATCH: rules and management thread

Small update in B1 rule:

B1: if A, number of correct sets, then number of sets in right order. If correct number of sets in right order, then closest to right score (60 61 62 63 64 75 76).

==> In case of tie with correct sets only, the first criterion is closest to right score.

Player A pick: Djokovic 6/2 7/5
Player B pick: Djokovic 7/5 6/2
Result: Djokovic 6/4 6/3

Player A: (6/4 vs. 6/2 = 2) + (7/5 vs. 6/3 = 2) = 4
Player B: (7/5 vs. 6/4 = 1) + (6/2 vs. 6.3 = 1) = 2
==> Player B wins.

Re: THE BIG MATCH: rules and management thread

F: After E, closest to correct set game overall per set (last sets have more priority than first sets) (60 61 62 63 64 75 76 67 57 46 36 26 16 06)

Example 1:
Player A pick: Djokovic 6/2 7/5
Player B pick: Djokovic 7/5 6/2
Result: Djokovic 6/4 6/3
==> 2nd set: Player A: 2/ Player B: 1 ==> Player B wins.

Example 2:
Player A pick: Djokovic 6/2 6/4
Player B pick: Djokovic 7/6 6/2
Result: Nadal 6/4 6/3
==> if 2nd set is criterion (which is not the case in this example): Player A: 5 (7/5 vs. 3/6) / Player B: 8 (6/2 vs. 3/6) ==> Player A wins.

Re: THE BIG MATCH: rules and management thread

E: After D, sum of closest to correct set game overall for the right set (60 61 62 63 64 75 76 67 57 46 36 26 16 06).

Example 1:
Player A pick: Djokovic 6/3 3/6 6/3
Player B pick: Djokovic 3/6 6/4 6/4
Result: Djokovic 7/5 7/6
==> Player A: 2 + 4 = 6 / Player B: 5 + 2 = 7 ==> Player A wins.

Example 2:
Player A pick: Djokovic 6/2 7/5
Player B pick: Djokovic 7/5 6/2
Result: Djokovic 6/4 6/3
==> Player A: 2 + 2 = 4 / Player B: 3 + 1 = 4 ==> Criterion E is not a tie-breaker.

Result: Djokovic 7/5 7/6
==> Player B wins.

Example 2:
Player A pick: Djokovic 6/4 3/6 7/5
Player B pick: Djokovic 3/6 6/4 7/6
Result: Djokovic 7/5 7/6
==> Player B wins (1 correct set each but 7/6 is correct 2nd set, while 7/5 is correct for 1st set).

C: After B1 and B2, then number of correct set games overall for the right set (60 61 62 63 64 75 76). If tied, last sets have more priority than first sets.

Example 1:
Player A pick: Djokovic 6/4 3/6 6/3
Player B pick: Djokovic 3/6 6/4 7/6
Result: Djokovic 6/3 6/4
==> Player B wins (correct 2nd set)

Example 2:
Player A pick: Djokovic 6/3 3/6 6/3
Player B pick: Djokovic 3/6 6/4 7/6
Result: Djokovic 6/3 6/4
==> Player B wins (1 correct set each but 2nd set has more priority than 1st set)

Example 3:
Player A pick: Djokovic 6/3 3/6 6/3
Player B pick: Djokovic 3/6 6/4 7/6
Result: Djokovic 7/5 7/6
==> Criterion C is not a tie-breaker

Example 4:
Player A pick: Djokovic 6/4 6/2
Player B pick: Djokovic 6/4 7/6
Result: Nadal 6/4 6/3
==> Criterion C is not a tie-breaker

Re: THE BIG MATCH: rules and management thread

B2: if not A, number of sets picked for the winner, then number of sets in right order.

Example 1:
Player A pick: Djokovic 6/4 3/6 6/2
Player B pick: Djokovic 3/6 6/4 7/6
Result: Nadal 6/3 6/4
==> Criterion B2 is not a tie-breaker (no correct set, 1-1 set in right order).

Example 2:
Player A pick: Djokovic 6/4 3/6 6/2
Player B pick: Djokovic 6/4 7/6
Result: Nadal 6/3 6/4
==> Player A wins (1 set to Nadal)

Example 3:
Player A pick: Djokovic 6/4 3/6 6/2
Player B pick: Djokovic 3/6 6/4 7/6
Result: Nadal 6/3 4/6 6/4
==> Player B wins (0 vs. 2 set in right order).

Example 4:
Player A pick: Djokovic 6/4 6/2
Player B pick: Djokovic 6/4 7/6
Result: Nadal 6/3 6/4
==> Criterion B2 is not a tie-breaker
