Re: SANTIAGO GONZALEZ (MEXICO)

Well, since the last post, Santiago has retired from singles, focused his career entirely in doubles, and has basically kicked major butt.

He has a top 30 ranking -his best-

He also had his first kid a couple of months ago

Way to go!

Santy had a bad week, lost to Ferrer 16 26 and in doubles partnering the german C. Kas they lost to Chardy and Simon.

Re: SANTIAGO GONZALEZ (MEXICO)

Our best tennis player right now.

Doubles Rank: 27
Singles Rank: NR

He is playing Acapulco this week and he is probable playing his last singles game tonight vs. the top seed David Ferrer. He will focus on his doubles rank and will try to be top 10 before RG to get a WC for the Olympics.

Well VERY BAD WEEKS for Santiago this year, he has been loosing important points in the ranking system, if he does not play good in the next 3 weeks he would be in deep trouble

He is going to play in Brazil next week

Santi is playing in Puebla, he lost a lot of points last week because he lost 12 points of last years Puebla Challenger, he has a good draw, and he should be able to reach at least the semifinals.

Hope we have gooooooooooood news!!!

Does lucky exists?

This week for Chago I should say YES

Rocket Philipousis has withdrawn from the tournament and CHAGO plays against a LL from the qualyfing draw, this should be a good chance for CHAGO to go to 2nd. Round

Chago has a ranking this week of :

220 in singles
206 in doubles

Two other notices.

1) He is close to have the best ranking of a singles mexican player, because Echagary is not playing
2) He is ranked no 2 in doubles, that is awful, D. Garza has a better rank than him.

This week is playing in Illinios, he has a tough firs round against Rocket Philipousis

And doubles is playing with raising chilenean star Capdeville

Chago lost in secound round, I think this was because he is a little bit tired after tough matches, he also lost in doubles QF.

He will be playing next week in Illinois, and then in Puebla, I hope he gets a good draw and could win some matches

Vamos CHAGO
