Well he did completely dominate play against a good returner in Tipsarevic last week, remember? I know you do, because you were trolling in the commentary thread at the time.

If you take away the best aspect of any player's game, they are obviously going to be much worse without it. Thanks for the pointless observation, though.

I don't expect Milos to win either, that beaind said I don't expect Monfils or Dolgopolov to win either. Just because he's ahead of them doesn't mean he's gonna win, just means he has a more likely longshot than the others. At the end of the day Djokovic, Federer, Murray or Nadal will win it anyway

The point, anyway, was that nobody should take anything meaningful from that result. Winning it clearly didn't matter to him and his effort showed that. Not to mention the fact that he pulled out of the entire tournament after it.

If he meets any decent returner, he's toast. Raonic is not even top 100 player without the serve and that has been exposed time and time again when he has to rally.

Yeah, I don't see a big server beat 3 or the top 4 in a row, especially with them being such great returners or in Fed's case, skilled at winning shoot outs with such players.

He is all serve. Only works against mentally weak players

I don't see him as a title contender but he could have a good run if he gets a favourable draw.

Nobody expects him to win a GS this year, but if he serves like he did last week, it's going to be very hard for even the best players in the world to knock him out. Making it to the 4th round or the quarters would be a great result for him.
Good thing the all the slams are indoors where wind won't be a problem.

Yeah but it's like with Karlovic few years ago, there are chance for tiebreaks where anything can happen, players with a big weapon are more feared than players solid everywhere.

What happenned between Nadal and Isner last year at the French open underline my point.

Best of 5 is tougher for underdogs though.

Monfils? Seriously... If Monfils can keep his head straight and cut the showman crap for two weeks straight, well then the Mayans were probably spot on about the end of the world coming in 2012.
