Re: Johnny Groove's Top 69 Players Ever (Djokovic #11 of all time, Wawrinka #56)

voted for the third option, that is, '3/5- Hmmmm, I dunno. Some look a bit dicey, mate'.
but going it through more carefully, i need to change my thoughts.

if i can change vote at all, i will take the first choice, yes, i am for '5/5- Almost 100% spot on, Mr. Groove. I may switch a few around here or there, but good work'.

moderators, please, can i change my votes at this time for this thread, please?

Great list Groove, almost as excellent as your artistic poetry in motion play on the courts of Florida.

Update the list. Novak must have been surpassed Borg with 11 slams and 184 weeks @ No.1 already!

Borg is still above him...though not for very long most likely.

Novak with 10 slams should be in top 10 now.

I understand that it was easier to win a major (rivalry only with players from a chosen category: Pros or Amateurs) but still I find it unfair especially to Pros. Not only they had fewer chances for majors but the competition was tough there especially in the 60s. In my opinion pro-slams should be rated higher (at least by reducing that exemplary 2,28 and 1,71 point difference).
Yes it is very difficult to ascertain the "slam" equal in that era since the best amateurs and pros didn't play each other

Well I'm not going to retire for another 21 years so we have a lot of time to figure that out

I am not looking past tomorrow's training

For me, Vines is overrated. Yes, he could beat anyone on a given day, but rather inconsistent.
If Sampras is Tier 1.5, so is Nadal.
