Janowicz split up with Kim Tiilikainen right before the US Open.
Worked together for 7 years.

Yeah, I edited the previous post with my comment about Valverdu.

I think Nishikori added Chang to the team in 2014, no? It was exactly the year he did the big leap.

This option seems to work for most players. Staying with their trusted long time coaches, but also adding another member to the team.

Chang is not Nishikori's primary coach. He's more like a consultant. Dante Bottini's is being Nishikori's coach for ages, I doubt he's changing.

On Dimitrov's partnership with Valverdu: I think this will work something like the one with Rasheed. Valverdu isn't a premier coach, but he's kinda smart and understand a bit of tactics. Had Dimitrov played the entire year with smarter tactics like he did in Toronto instead of self-destructing when out of confidence, he would be around the top 10-15 in the race. But this won't help him to get into the top, most likely he will stagnate around 8-12, just like the previous time. I hope he's more smart this time around and decide to add someone else to the team who can help him with the ultimate climb if he does manage to get into a good position again.

^Yes indeed. new chapter needed.

I'm also thinking maybe Nishikori might benefit from a new coach. I love Chang and all, he's done great stuff for Kei's game (actually wonders) but maybe after 2 years, he needs a fresh voice in order to figure how to bring it up more consistently against the top players. At the same time Kei is extremely loyal and won't boot Chang unless Chang himself opts to leave.

Come on, he'll never win AO and RG even if Djokovic would get knocked out at both events.

I'm also surprised this isn't creating more buzz. But I guess Gulbis has been flying way too much under the radar in the last two years because of his bad form so even him bringing back Stefanki to the ATP tour isn't newsworthy.
