The one that got away...

The one that got away. We all know the feeling. We know who she was. You two were perfect for each other. But it just didn't work out. Maybe it wasn't the right time, etc.

Mine is a Cuban beauty from back in college. My God. She was everything I wanted in a woman. Smart, witty, loyal, honest, hard working, she worked and bought her own car, very fiery and fiesty :aplot:, she was a dancer too. Not a dancer dancer, like a strip club, but a regular girl who knew how to dance. As a result, her body was bangin. We had that spark, you know? It was almost overwhelming. I knew she could feel it too. I asked her one time what he favorite sports were. Her first response? "Tennis ;)"

She had these eyes that I could just look into all day. She was everything I could ever want. But she really wanted to be a Mom. She wanted to have a baby. But she was only 20! "Don't you want to live your 20's at all?" I asked. She explained to me how her mom had her young and thus the two were really close. She also had a younger sister she loved to take care of. As her younger sister got older, her yearning for a person to take care of heightened. Since her mom had her young, she didn't really think it was too far out of the ordinary

Unfortunately that was a deal breaker and she broke up with me. I was also guilty of talking to other girls, true, so some of the blame is also mine, but still I never went far, I never even kissed another girl in the short time I was with her. It was a combination of things that led to the break up, really.

But she was perfect otherwise. I wish I had the balls to tell her I wanted to have kids with her but later on in life, but I was so heartbroken when she broke up with me that I could barely say a word before she walked away in tears. :awww:

She is the one that got away. I don't have many regrets in life, but this one. I do hope I see her again, to try to fix this all, but, you know, life goes on...

Surely I am not the only one. Has anyone else lost that perfect someone?

Jesus, that 2nd story is even worse. I really sounded depressed. Talking about drinking away my problems and making up posts about serious shit like that just to get a reaction, just to fuck with people. What the fuck was wrong with me back then?

She, I imagine, is still in Orlando going to UCF.

What about you being a promising tennis player, true or false? Do you even play tennis?
I train over 3 hours a day, man, this is 100% true, I want to be a pro.

last question Mr. Groove

how did you turn from a diehard Rafatard to a more balanced fan with even a little inclination towards Fed?

Incredible late season campaigning from Groove, trying to right all the wrongs of previous seasons early eliminations in the ACC. Will this thread alone propel him deep into the competition?

Talk about being caught with your pants down.

I'm just glad we now know how the relationship with the Cuban girl started (http://www.menstennisforums.com/showpost.php?p=10566891&postcount=11)

Ties up some of the loose ends..

About the fake stories, those were actually very well written.. most people only get shanked and hospitalised by the food at McDonalds.. Could consider Novel writing.

Jonny you are a bit too young to even be thinking this. See if you feel this way when over half your life is through. Perceptions and observations will be different and yes you will change.

That is if this is real or somewhat real.

Note to myself: Don't open Johnny Groove threads when you are at work. I don't want to know what my colleagues thought when they saw me crying from laughter. I still can't stop smiling while typing this, ey.

Either way, cut the guy some slack. He was young and needed the attention. :awww:

Well, I guess I am glad that everyone has had a nice laugh at my expense with this thread, maybe it'll take me far in the ACC :yeah:

And Nat, you are right. The reason I open these threads is not to show off or anything, but to get things off my mind and ask other for advice. Maybe not the best way, to be honest, but hey, live and learn. You're right, Nat, I just need ONE good woman, really. Fed, Nadal, Djokovic, all have long term women.

And Jolan Gago, tennis is my life, man.

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
